she carries you to her cozy little cabin and sets you down in your special play area, filled with all your favorite things—building blocks, a colorful toy piano, beloved toys, and more. Nearby sit your paci and your sippy, right where you left them.

curious, you crawl or toddle over to see what she’s doing. Momma bear smiles and gently boops your nose with her paw. She’s making a sweet snack just for you, hoping it will bring a smile back to her precious baby dove’s face.

soon, she lifts you onto her hip, holding you close while she prepares your favorite treat, showering you with soft cuddles and loving nuzzles along the way. 💛🐻

Can we get some casual agere appreciation?

Like, no this character isn't using a pacifier or gripping onto a plushie or padded or wearing childing clothing, but they are hiding behind their most trusted person in the friend group, either a parental figure or close friend, when things feel too big and new.

They aren't crying out for mommy or daddy, or throwing a tantrum, but they're sobbing to themselves in the middle of the night, clutching their pillow like a person, because everything feels too big and too much

They aren't burying themselves in pacifiers, teethers, or plushies, but they're chewing on their shirt or hand when they get anxious and hugging their pillow to their chest like a lifeline

i wanted to make a moodboard on da radiologie cwinic i see at da hospital i go to, so here dat is! da clinic has cool lights, so i added those! and da red and blue stars represent the blood flow you can see on the scans! they’re so cool wen dey flow around and swoosh everywhere!! I like seeing da radiologie techs there! they always are so nice to mi! and they give me a sticker for being bwave and i get to see all da pictures they take and they let me see da big computer! and dey warm the jelly too, and they tell me it’s magic gel that makes everything easy to see with that magic wand they got to make sure everything is safe and working right!

You are allowed to :

Have stuffies with no names/personalities

Have stuffies who are just toys and you dont see them as friends or sibbies or alive etc

Have one stuffie whose soul/name goes in between plushies!! I do this a lot because my main comfort plushie is too big to take with me so her soul can move between plushies :] sometimes she is a dog, sometimes she is a monkey, sometimes she is a giraffe...

Have multiple doubles of the same kind of toy

People whose toys have toys (i.e. my doll has plushies!)

Prefer dolls or figurines or other hard plastic toys rather than soft plushies

Keep your toys on display and dont really take them down or physically play with them (they dont mind this!! In fact they enjoy relaxing :] )

Give names/personalities to toys that technically wouldnt have them (like cars)

Form bonds or play with things that aren't toys, like sticks, pet rocks, etc, or even electronics like phones or laptops!

Also, touching on the theme from earlier, people who dont have typical rules for toys, such as: my toy can come with me in spirit even if I cant actually bring them, my toy and I communicate telepathically or in another nonverbal way, my plushie's soul isnt bound to a plush body and can jump into electronics or figurines, etc

Customize your toys with paint, patches, embroidery, dye, etc

Accessorise your toys or make them clothes and that's how you play with them !!

Prefer not to play with others, or for people to not touch your toys! That's very fair!

Have toys who are characters from a specific media, but you customize them to make them look different, give them a different name, give them a different story, etc

🐅 . . . ☆ Yes autistic play looks different, but "different" doesn't just mean the "amount of weird the public can tolerate", and play can be anything!! The idea is that it's fun for YOU ( nd whoever else plays with you! ) What doesn't look fun to you might be a blast for someone else ! Keeping an open mind will make playing fun !

Remember to share and keep gentle hands with others things, and also to be kind about the way that others play!! Our differences make us good friends :] 🦋
