Idk how much I’ve talked about him, actually, because as far as the reboot goes Zack is my fave male. And in the franchise as a whole, Tommy’s my fave dude (shocker). But let’s remedy that: Jason is a punk ass bitch. But not really, that’s just how I’ve been referring to him for years and it comes from a joke I had with some friends of mine. Honestly I think reboot Jay is a lot more interesting than original Jay but I think the comics are doing a better job with the intended spirit of him. Overall, he’s a bae, Kim loves him lots (in varying ways, depending on the verse/source material) and I love to make jokes about him.

Wasn’t the whole superhero thing supposed to be bright and fun and campy? That was always how it was in the comics, right? The near-constant stream of trauma never left scars, never broke anyone. Because they were superheroes, and they could handle it, they could go back to work or school the morning after almost dying and be perfectly fine.

So why couldn’t Kim do that?

Why had she spent every single free moment she had in the pit, beating the hell out of herself more than the simulations she kept making Alpha run? Why had it been getting steadily worse? When had she started waking up every morning (assuming she slept at all) in pain, and when had she started believing that was normal? Truthfully, she wasn’t sure, but she had no intentions of stopping. So when she heard footsteps, felt the presence of another person, she simply shook it off.

“If Jay sent you down to check on me, tell him he’s taking the Mom Friend role way too seriously and I’m fine.”

God, I want to mark you. With my mouth, my tongue, my teeth, my fingers, my nails. I want to leave blooming red and purple on your skin, scratches and kisses and hickies. I want to hear the sounds you make when I do. I want everyone to know who you belong to.
