making more sketchbooks full of art I can go back and look at is genuinely one of the most motivational things for me to keep making art, I don't know what that says about me but "make art you'd love to look at in a few months or years in a big book of STUFF" is what keeps me ticking even when there's little to no external validation

Whole page sketchbook redraw! The top two are from 2020 and the bottom three I redrew and coloured today on a whim, I like seeing the improvements and change in style! No references for the redraw other than the original page, which made me think I could probably improve again if I also used reference photos in similar poses. I tried to use a similar pen and no under sketch like original page too. There was a point in time where trying to redraw old art wasn't actually fun and felt like I hadn't improved or it wasn't any easier when I tried and I feel like I'm now finding it easier to redraw things in a way I find pleasing which is great.
