While many have dreamed of dragon mounts, the fact of the matter is that dragons are simply undomesticable. For your homework, I want you to list all the criteria that makes domestication possible and why dragons pretty much fail in every category.

ok I did a module on domestication in my undergrad so let's see, we've got

quick maturing - not in D&D RAW

able to find food in/around human settlements - yes, once

hardiness - yes

herd dynamics - big no

ease of reproduction in captivity - uncertain

bonus : can be kept in captivity in the first place - not for long

This is why Drakes are domesticated. They are far smaller and mature at a decent rate. And have some level of bonding like herd dynamics.

Still not perfect but with a little magic drakes can be kept!

Why are there so many communities for games, table top rpgs, and other such things where its so confusing. Why do I feel like I need to understand complex things to enjoy a media? It feels like everything requires a lot more knowledge on mechanics, number crunching, systems, synergy and such to prove you are a fan of a thing.

Otherwise you are a casual fan, and I don't feel like thats fair, just cause I am not able to wrap my head around these maths of card games and ttrpg mechanics and optimization doesn't make me lesser does it.

I feel like an outcast in all of this. I feel like I am unable to keep up with the way the internet has become. Computers confuse me a lot, the programming stuff, someone tried to talk to me about processing speeds and some other terms I don't know, it was like an alien language.

Its the same with my education, I graduated film school yet I can't name you great directors, my teachers maybe failed in teaching me these names, making me watch these movies. But I know how to disect a movie, how to analyse see the patterns, what camera angles are used and for what purpose. I know how a script is written, what is done with it. But because when asked "whats your favorite movie" I can't find any answer, I am made to feel like I am less than when they name Tarkovsky and I can't name a single director.

I see people talking about dnd but its all complex optimization and building characters. Min maxxers.

I see people talking about anime and I just don't get the appeal of power scaling it just doesn't make sense in my head I can't wrap my mind around these things. Why are anima all about "by using my power in x way with the y technique I can achieve more" type things.

This isn't a "I want things the way they were in the past" I just wish I didn't feel left behind and lesser than for not being able to understand these things. Because I just don't get it, I tried but it just doesn't make sense for me.
