Funny, this whole time I thought her name was Georgia!
Guys, I can't find my weave. Talk about a Pinup Problem
She reminds me of my mother: causiously expecting disappointment. At least a new Frigidare Electric Range will never get a D in history.
Advent of the Dress/ 30 Days of Pinup Girl Clothing- at the Del Coronado Hotel in front of their famous Christmas tree. My family goes to The Del every year to see the tree and have one of their signature holiday cocktails. This is also the hotel where they shot Some Like It Hot.
Here at Pinup Problems HQ we've found that the best holiday helper, both for cooking and spending lots of time with family, is liberal doses of cooking sherry. Also wearing the cute & comfy Neverland Jenny Dress helps. Day I've Lost Track of my Advent of the Dress/ 30 Day of Pinup Girl Clothing.
Advent of the Dress/ 30 Day of Pinup Girl Clothing - Christmas. Wearing my favorite holiday dress. Yes, I actually did cook in it! I just used a bigger apron.
Advent of the Dress/ 30 Days of Pinup Girl Clothing day 13- wearing the Deadly Dames Clothing Film Noir dress that I am so in love with! At my vintage-loving friend and fellow female film director and cut paper artist Trisha Gum's holiday party, partying hard with my tiki cup full of water.
She has some amazing vintage decor in her home, mixed with some of her cut paper art. I was in her film How To Be A Female Director... but probably just because I own my own vintage '50s wardrobe.
Advent of the Dress/ 30 Days of Pinup Girl Clothing Day 12, aka this past Friday. I'm sticking with the animal print theme so I thought I'd pose with my box of Frute Brute.
Advent of the Dress/ 30 Days of Pinup Girl Clothing - Evening Day 11. Wearing the Jessica Dress to a girls' night/unofficial Pinup Girl Boutique holiday get-together. With Tony of His Vintage Touch hair, who just showed up dressed as Santa. Sadly I didn't get off work early enough to have him do my hair!
Advent of the Dress and 30 Days of Pinup Girl Clothing- Day 11 in the Hotrod Honey Deadly Dames Dress in Leopard. I love love love this dress! It makes me feel like a ripe peach. A very very comfortable ripe peach.
I’ve decided to make 30 Days of PUG my theme and see how many different ways I can wear their dresses and separates, both at work and play.
I'm sponsoring myself for wearing dresses/separates and donating to Dress For Success, a non-profit that gives business clothing and career help to disadvanted women (and men).
Day 7 of Advent of the Dress and 30 Days of Pinup Girl Clothing. I've decided to make 30 Days of PUG my theme and see how many different ways I can wear their dresses and separates, both at work and play.
Here's my Saturday dress, from when I attended the Miss L Fire Holiday Party at their Hollywood boutique with the amazing vintage hair dresser and blogger Technicolor Cutie (www.technicolorcutie.com), and with my handsome boyfriend, who's SO handsome I dare not post his photo because you may never leave my page.
Advent The Dress - Day 5
Happy Repeal of Prohibition Day! As I enjoyed my 21st Amendment whiskey drink at Sassafrass in Hollywood, I wore a vintage '50s suit from Etsy Seller Crash The Party 1956 and the Carole top from Pinup Girl Clothing as a shell underneath.
So far I've raised $11 from myself for my charity, Dress for Success, which provides disadvantaged women (and men) with professional clothing and career services. www.dressforsuccess.org
Advent of the Dress - Day 4
I'm wearing my super-comfy Deadly Dames Juvenile Delinquent dress from Pinup Girl Clothing paired with a modern cardigan. I've already raised $9 from myself for Dress For Success, which helps disadvantaged women (and men) with professional wear and career services. Go me! And thanks me!
Advent Of The Dress- Day 3 (but Day 1 for me)- Pinup Girl Clothing skirt (Kinky Box Skirt in Leopard) and vintage sweater.
Advent Of The Dress- Have you heard of it? I had not until a few days ago, when some vintage-lovin' gals started a Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Advent-Of-The-Dress/177378455793517
We're all pledging to wear a dress every day in December, and some ladies are posing in vintage frocks that they're selling and giving a percentage to charity. I had no idea how to make dress wearing benefit a charity since I'm not an Ebay seller, so I decided to sponsor myself for every day I wear a dress. I will be supporting Dress For Success, which helps disadvantaged women (and men) by providing professional clothing for interviews and career counseling, I've decided to pledge $1 for every day I wear a dress, $2 for a skirt day (like I am wearing here), and $3 if I'm feeling super lazy and just wear jeans that day. So far that is $8 this month.
I'm not asking anyone to pledge me, but if you're interested in learning more about the great work that Dress For Success does, you can visit their website: http://www.dressforsuccess.org/
Let's get frocked!
