Going to be go dark on Tumblr on the 17th in protest but I have stuff I held off on posting here because of reasons.

So I will probably spend that day being more active on my twitter accounts and posting stuff there.

Will probably come back here to see what survived but in reality my Tumblr accounts here will probably just be a mirror for my twitter posts.

After reading Tumblr’s policy and announcements, I think that they plan to kill general browsing of not SFW stuff, but keep it intact under the surface.

That means you can only see not SFW blogs if you are already following them. Would be a good plan to follow any of those blogs still here.

It also means people can still post stuff on those blogs since they have been categorized as explicit content blogs and are not in view of casual browsing.

We will find out next week I guess.

I noticed that they have disabled the ability to choose to set your blog to explicit but at the same time still be viewable on people’s dashboard.

That means people who already have this blog on their dashboard can potentially still see posts to it.

Is this true?

Hunkering down but making plans.

(Tumblr has decided to bury the newest posts on some users blog unless you have them on your dashboard, so I am going to pin a link to this to the top of my blogs so it is easy to find)

People are asking me what I doing in preparation for the 17th of December.

My answer?

Working.

I am kind of used to losing my art and gallery to forces beyond my control (being kicked from DA, accidentally deleted folders, and two crashed computers) but it is quite stressful nonetheless.

I am glad though I have a week to make preparations, but I hate the fact this is happening around my birthday and the holidays.

I can rebel and voice my opinions here, but I am backing everything up and looking for a new site to settle down in.

Part of the reason I liked being here (been here since July 2011) was that not only you were part of a group of like-minded people, but you also had a chance to explore the other things they liked and check out other communities and fandoms.

This is what I will miss the most.

I have met, chatted with, and made friends with many people I normally would not have ever met.

I have seen art from all over the world and met artists who have inspired and showed me how to be a better artist.

And lets not forget the creative fans who are always entertaining and enthusiastic. Even infectious.

I am an old soul who really doesn’t like change and if possible I may keep a couple of my blogs here going (if they let me) as a kind of milestone of a another place I have lived and maybe tell stories of Tumblr past.

Sketch commissions invoices.

For all those who signed-up for a sketch commission and paid the invoice for it, this post is for you.

You may be getting a follow-up email from my other email account saying how the details for payment have been changed.

Don’t worry because it is PayPal being annoying.

Paying for invoices, or even sending a KO-FI donation, automatically generates a request for a tracking number. - even for digital commissions.

What I wind up doing is manually changing the details for the payment to indicate that the tracking number is not needed.

And this change of details automatically sends another email to the person who made the payment that the details for their payment has changed - but it uses one of my alternate email accounts. (The one I use for is commissions is callmepo on the bell. net server.)

Confusing as hell, right?

Just treat the PayPal generated emails as a confirmation that I got your payment - which it essentially is because I have to manually find your payment and update it.
