so.. i tried evvvvery possible route w saying no to that, bc i just did not want that news to spread to my LI as an indicator, or lock me down w shiba... i didnt know how to manually save yet either, i had just been quicksaving with the + button.. the amount of confusion and distress when i realized i was gonna have to start alllll over again.. and again....... then i learned about rewinding hehe.
2) once i got over my resistance to rewinding, i started worrying abt all my early choices, including majima feet washing moment lmao (my very first play i said yes not to be rude.. i love that it happens no matter what though lmao), and those w hideo (uhh smashed the 'WE WOULD BE HAPPY' option IMMEDIATELY lmfao u already know.... but had to see if the other option would avoid disaster..) so.. messed around w redoing those... see if they had some strange impact on outcome.... buuuut nop..

SO much risk, unfathomable, unthinkable to just openly admit that 0__o ESPECIALLY SEEING AS HIDEO HAD JUST RISKED A METRIC FUCKTON JUST TO HAVE A SERIOUS ENOUGH REASON TO BREAK THEIR ENGAGEMENT???!?!? BY GOING TO WAR AND RISK DYING?!? after that, it was smooth sailing til the end ::) except.. oh my god, when MC went into the storehouse.. and here comes drooling crazy saburo for the millionth time.. i was laughing SO hard, like.. WHAT DID I DO THIS TIME?!? but since it wasn't the same cookie cutter game-ender i had seen a zillion times already, I figured this was either a genuine moment in the forward momentum, or this route did seriously permanently end this way. seeing good ole saburo AGAIN after having no rewinds for so long... i laaaauuuughed so hard i probably woke some birds up outside lmfao. YOU AGAIN
now, all that said: once i understood the flow/pattern, the writing was honestly so specifically tuned for me to not be annoyed or upset with logical choices being burned, because the specifics of the illogical choices played out fine. it did not interfere with my enjoyment once the story flowed again, which says a lot -- plot holes, inconsistencies, etc., can just.. fully kill it for me, depending on how it's handled.. but it was very, very good n_n truly could nevvvver have expected how perfect hideo's route would get.. ;~; his personality/appearance was the only one that appealed to me at all, but i really was not expecting the level of love it led to ;w;
gonna be thinking about that unexpected 愛してる for the rest of my lifeu ;w;
