Thank you all, and I’m sorry for the long wait. I had a ton happening irl (long story) and thought it would be for the best if I deleted Tumblr. I recently started drawing Octonauts again (just a warning, my art style has changed… a lot… again) and I have only recently had time to start writing and drawing. Apparently taking AP classes takes up a ton of time, who knew?

I personally am of the opinion Kwazii wandered on board and Inkling assumed Barnacles found him and Barnacles assumed Inkling found him and by the time they found out neither of then found him, he had become the lovable gremlin and nobody wanted him to go. (That I personally believe takes great pride in perpetuating the stereotype that cats like to knock cups off of flat surfaces.)

Thanks to a Gup crash, Captain Barnacles was severely injured. Luckily, the captain and Lieutenant Kwazii were the only ones on board when it happened. The medbay in the Octopod doesn’t have enough medical supplies to treat the injured captain, so the decision falls to acting Captain Kwazii. If they dock and bring the injured captain to a hospital, they would have to depart to keep watch over the ocean in a few days, leaving Barnacles behind. If they do not dock, he could potentially never wake up.

Are you planning to make characters die in I've Always Liked To Play With Fire? Because if you are, I should probably stop reading before I end up in my closet eating ice cream with a fork.

Hm, not currently! That was mostly a joke for the post I do have a habit of killing characters off. Though, those are usually bad people so I don’t think anyone will really be dying in this one, don’t worry. If I change my mind though, the tags on AO3 will change.

I don’t think I will to be honest, but I guess it could happen at some point.

There is close to zero planning in my writing (it’s a bad habit) and when I get ideas I just sorta write em down and the plot shows up along the way.
