Synopsis : Noël ! Il ne reste dans le grand lycée que quelques gosses oubliés par les leurs : les “orphelins”, les “exilés”, livrés au plus effrayant, au plus détesté des pions : Merlusse, au visage balafré. Le professeur subit les tracasseries de ses élèves, qui le chahutent sans reconnaître l'affection et la solitude qui se cachent sous son aspect sévère et rébarbatif.
