My bed has never felt so good,,,
Shortly after Thomas Edison released his patent for the electric light bulb, the young inventor was hard at work looking for ways to improve on the invention. One unconventional method came to him in his sleep. “Why I have seen the most spectacular vision,” he wrote in his dream journal. “It is a way to harness the energy of the playful kittens and cats which I adore so much.”
And so, he got to work, and after months of tweaking and perfecting his design, he filed a patent on April 1, 1880 for “Kitty Cat Apparatus For Powering Electric Lamps.” Unfortunately, the design never found commercial success in its time, and Edison was forced to find new ways to play with cats while he worked, including casting them as stars in his films.
A big thanks to Cindy Suen for bringing this forgotten invention to life once again in the GIF above.
Dude, I haven’t been here in so long....
(In honor of an SDR2 revival, this blog is back in action!)
A look at the USS North Carolina battleship, one of ten battleships to join the American fleet in World War II. At the time, GE was manufacturing propulsion machinery to drive all of the United States Navy’s fighting vessels, including the North Carolina, which was propelled by four GE steam turbines. Weighing 35,000 tons, the behemoth ship steamed over 300,000 miles surviving many close calls and even a torpedo hit.
I'm back, babes.
novoselic-princess reblogged your post and added:
"Jealous of? "
"Princess Sonia! Oh, uh..."
"Of...."
"H-havin' friends! People to talk to! Yeah, that's right."
Man, I feel awful.
C'mon, Kazuichi... you're falling back to your old ways again...
Think of something quick.
send my muse one of these:
"I hope you’re happy."
"I can’t believe you talked me in to this."
"I have an idea…"
"What the hell did you do?"
"Did you do this?"
"You look better in that than I did."
"Is it supposed to do that?"
"I’m pretty sure I like you."
"I’m pretty sure I don’t like you."
"How do I do this?"
"Why are you taking so long?"
"Have you seen my pants?"
"Was it something I said?"
"Can you zip me up?"
"I love yooo-ur hair."

A view of Stargate, the nickname for the massive grid simulator at the new wind turbine testing facility at Clemson University. Here, the world’s most advanced rig for trying and validating wind turbine drivetrains will put GE’s next-generation turbines through their paces.
