summary: Warren decides to get his old wings back, but forgets about the pain and struggle of dealing with them
When you heard the news of Storm and Archangel joining Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, you were a little on edge. You witnessed the chaos that they created along with Apocalypse, and the fact that they were going to be wandering around the school with you and others, scared you a little. Sure, they must’ve had a good reason to join Apocalypse, and you figured Xavier wouldn’t let them in if he didn’t think they were safe, so that eased your nerves just a bit.
Everything was slowly going back to normal, the school having been rebuilt quickly, with the help of Jean and Erik. Everyone was required to take part in new training, although you were excluded, and instead trained in the medical field to help treat others. You still had a mutation, yet it wasn’t very helpful. You had similar powers to Jean, you could turn invisible, but unlike her, you couldn’t read minds, or have telekinetic powers. Just invisibility. You weren’t super special, but you were still enrolled, and happy about it.
Ororo and Warren had been hanging out with the group, which consisted of you, Scott, Peter, Jean, Kurt, and Jubilee, and for the most part, they fit in. Well, Ororo did. Warren usually kept quiet, observing everyone, only talking to Ororo when she wasn’t in a conversation with anyone. To you, it seemed suspicious, but after hearing her explain his troubled past and his trust issues, you understood. Every now and then, she would tell you stories of when they were with Apocalypse, and he seemed like a sweet guy, despite his angry and evil-looking demeanor. Unfortunately, he still had his metal wings, and the tattoos on his face were still there. He looked miserable all the time, you felt bad for him; he was just misunderstood, and you desperately wanted to get to know him more.
