This is actually a result of gentrification but sure. The black people are sitting down because they get on the train first, their stops are further away from Manhattan because housing prices are going up in the city and they are being pushed out to areas like the Bronx and Queens. It seems like a nod to the civil rights era but dig a lil deeper.
