The people of Amilya Village, near the Mahan Forests of Madhya Pradesh (which constitute the last traces of Ancient Indian Forests)

Farmers, forest communities and wildlife in the area are under serious threat from coal mining and processing companies, ESSAR and Hindalco. The proposed coal projects will turn more than 3000 hectares of rich agricultural land into an overburden of coal dust while the forests will be ripped open for coal.

This one’s for Nainan, who was supposed to watch the movie with me, but it never happened. Anyway, the I loved the 2010 remake, because Depp is oh so amazing, and I have a thing for headgear :) I also have a thing for creepy adorable smiling cats that materialize here and there. This was done here using pseudo-photoshop features, and yes, I’m pleased with it now, but we’ll see if I take it down in two hours XD
