if i got a nickle for being in a fandom where "fans" have difficultly accepting that a character is nonbinary and uses that lack of understanding as an excuse to misgender and call them by their presumed biological sex then i'd have two nickles. not much, but it's weird it's happened twice.

hot take: if you enjoy a vapid piece of media, you shouldn't be surprised when that attracts vapid people. i seriously see a pattern where simplistic repetitive games and shows have the weirdest fans because it's stimulation slop. a fandom can't think about or enjoy the takeaway if there's no takeaway. if there's nothing interesting to explore beyond fanfics from the media then pack it up man
