Goodbye, fair well, and thanks for all the fish.
Non-kink life is consuming all brain power and energy. Since I have not been here in months, I am officially closing this blog out.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! Cow friends are amazing friends.
halfway through January already...
All the warm squishy fabulous hugs to the people facing positions. Thank have been there. You are rockstars. Don’t let them tell you differently.
To myself, raised in an environment that glorified and romanticized restriction and suffering:
There is no victory in skipping dinner, or lunch, or breakfast, or morning coffee, or dessert.
There is no victory in refusing heaters and air conditioners and fans and heated blankets.
There is no victory in denying yourself sleep, or showers, or movement, or water, or a comfortable bed, or taking the elevator vs. the stairs.
There is no victory in refusing pain meds and heating pads and ice packs and medical help.
There is no victory in punishing yourself needlessly, in telling yourself that this pain you feel is because you are bad to the core and deserve it.
There is no victory in choking back your laughter and your tears, to keep an imagined equilibrium of safety that is really just a dry, cracked, empty, endless emotional desert.
You are here. You are in this body, and this body is yours. You deserve good things. You are alive, and that is messy and loud, and messy and loud are okay.
It’s okay to live abundantly. It’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to indulge. This paralysis of self-punishment, self-restriction, self-loathing is not healthy or good for you.
Y’all only like this on the internet. Calm & mature is called boring in real life.
^^^Cap and a half
There are women out there who genuinely do enjoy a mellow man and enjoy their time and the peace that comes with them not yelling and is emotionally intelligent
Big part of the reason I chose my partner is cus I love how mellow and gentle he is.
You can be calm and mature and have a sense of humor. Calm and mature and enjoy things passionately. Calm and mature and show empathy and caring. Fuck, I'm not sure you can be calm and mature without being able to show care and support for others. Being called boring is not about being calm. It's about not giving any energy. Don't mistake "stoic and refusing to show emotion" with calm and mature.
If you often feel overwhelmed or “in your head” do a some physical movement. Often we just need to bring some of that excess energy that is up in our head, down into our bodies. When we move our body in any form we feel called to, this energy spreads down, creating more of a balance between our mind and body. Our mind becomes much more centred.
i had a conversation recently with a dear friend ab how exercise can be used as a vessel into the present and in that space we can explore emotions in a much more vulnerable way. feeling the sensations of our body to guide how we explore the emotions and offering compassion to whatever comes up. it’s powerful stuff to be present with our emotions, we need only to feel safe enough first to explore - that’s the work!
Absolutely! It is so so powerful and can release things in a way we don’t often get to just by talking or thinking about our experiences alone. Let’s make it simpler and process and release those stored emotions and past trauma from our physical bodies.
I be like “good morning” then go back to sleep 5 times

you deserve to be loved no matter what phase of healing you’re in <3
You know being an “ally” (for HOH/Deaf people) isn’t always just talking loudly or learning the ASL alphabet. Its all about the little things you do in every day acts.
For example, when I got my hair done for an event once 5 years ago, my hair dresser noticed my hearing aid and talked to me about her brothers hearing problem and asked if I wanted my hair styled to hide, or show my aid. She wanted what I found to be the most comfortable, because she didn’t want the elaborate hair style to cause feedback/discomfort.
Most hair dressers ignore my aid, or awkwardly ask if I could take it out (which I usually end up doing anyway)
Whenever my friends and I watch TV together without question, they put on closed captions.
When walking and talking some of my friends will always walk, or move to stand on the side of my good ear when talking. (i’m HOH in one ear and perfectly fine in the other)
Another time I was getting my hair cut my hair dresser sometimes would stop cutting, or blow drying my hair just to continue the conversation, so that way I could hear him.
It’s the small details like these that count to support a person with differences. Its not these big boisterous acts of helping, its just being a friend doing friendly things. Instead of glorifying it, just normalize it.
