It's been a few
Today was a complete amalgam of random goings on. No theme, no consistency, just random shit for 24 hours.
Let's start with the first thing that happened as soon as I turned my game on this morning:
Quit 19 wanted to confess to 46...but if you looked at the way 46 feels about 19 in the corner...you'll already know where this is going.
yeaaaaah.
Moving on.
The Church of Anti-Quit seems to be making moves...
Quit 4, father of Quitling Harper and known member of the Church of Anti-Quit, wanted 58 to join the Anti-Quits. For those who don't recognize 58, they were previously living in TOIR (The OTP Is Real) with 28, 48, and Jo.
To my surprise...58 actually said yes...
Their numbers grow...
Immediately after this, as if to replace the empty slot at TOIR...
Hm...is TOIR the home-base for The One True Original Quit? Perhaps they are in conflict with the Anti-Quits...that wouldn't bode well for the Quitlings and their potential friendship. But if that's true, what does that mean for 58? Are they just fickle and were easily persuaded to abandon TOIR? Or are they actually...a spy?!?!
(I'd also like to point out that I'm pretty sure 58 used to live in the Quansion, so they've seriously been all over the freaking place.)
...Or maybe this all doesn't matter, because I was SERIOUSLY shocked today when Jo asked me THIS:
Wow! Our little guy is really growing up in the world...now he wants to live on his own! It's sad watching a bird leave the nest...but it's gotta happen!
...or...just maybe...Jo wants nothing to do with this battle between the Quits and Anti-Quits. Or perhaps he's considering joining the Anti-Quits?!? Only time will tell...I'm sure that'd make 23 happy, Harper hasn't exactly been this most proactive Quitling when it comes to this whole cult business.
Living on his own seems to have given Jo some confidence, because he FINALLY made his first friend!
54! Wow, this Quit has been everywhere as of recent haven't they? They went from a mostly background Quit to appearing in almost every random side-plot that's going on. Weird. But this vaguely connects Jo to the ICSS due to 54s (convoluted) relationship with Demon Quit, so??? Maybe instead of joining the Quits or the Anti-Quits, Jo will join the third party of the ICSS. What a shocking development...
Yesterday we had 4 whole fights. Today?
...Yup...we had another one...between 49 and 59.
...Wait!!! 59?!? Mushroom Quit?!? ANOTHER connection to the new costumed Quits! Sheesh! These guys are just desperate to be relevant, aren't they?
What's funny about this fight is while calming 49 down to talk to 59, this happened!
Another loved food! Wow! After days of not getting any, I get 2 in a row. Pretty crazy.
Anyways after the cookie I guess 49s communication skills had a massive level up because the fight was instantly resolved.
That's nice.
Alright alright...you wanna know who we haven't talked about in ages? Quit 3! Partner of Original Quit, the FIRST relationship we got on literally day 1!
Well, FINALLY, after AGES...
About freakin' time!!! 24 days!!!!! That's absurd!!!
...well...OK, by real-world standards only dating for 24 days and then getting married would be moving really fast. But that's a lot of time by Mii standards!!!
Anyways of course it worked out, so finally our longest couple has tied the knot!
What's really funny about this though is the housing: Original started the Quansion, the first multi-Quit housing of the island, pretty early on. Then he didn't invite his partner 3 there for ages, then when he FINALLY DID he immediately moved out of his own home to live alone!
Well since they're married now, Original moved in with 3, who was currently living in the Quansion...so Quit made the Quansion, invited 3 to the Quansion, moved OUT of the Quansion, married 3, then moved back INTO the Quansion...
...Original is seriously the weirdest Quit on the island. Maybe because he's the most pure clone of The One True Original Quit.
Speaking of housing, we have one last update in that area:

Wait a damn second!!! 25?!?! Hotdog Quit?!?
Yesterdays post included Mushroom, Monkey, and Hotdog Quit. Now today's post also includes Mushroom, Monkey, and Hotdog Quit. But they did something completely unrelated from each other. What's going on here?!? Why are these 3 running around doing a bunch of stuff?!?!
Ugh...whatever...we'll just have to see what happens with this pseudo-secondary ICSS...
And that's everything for today! Like I said, it was hectic and a bunch of random things happened. Completely unfocused, the true Quit way...

Quit 9 once again asked to change his hair, except unlike this time he actually did it instead of just taking his hat off. Now he's a simple brunet.

I guess this adds more evidence to the idea that TOIR is pro-The One True Original Quit, since this is 28 and 48 having this conversation.
Ending it off with another group photo! It's insane how few Quits we have left with just the basic clothes, I count only 14. Which means that 46 Quits have a unique look! Absolutely wild.

during some time, they were taken down for violations of the discord API terms, this was getting api keys(?) ids(?) (one of those) from users (which put them in hot water too. youre not supposed to give them out) as well as training their ai off messages in the servers they were in
You may wonder "but that's generally public, why would this be an issue" the way their service worked, you could use the bot without even being prompted to consent or not conset to their terms of use (you had to go seek it out manually actually).
So a lot of people didn't know about this (even creators of these bots) and a lot of users wouldn't use shapes in the server, so couldnt withdraw their consent from this happening.
when the ban wave happened initially, it killed a lot of their already-snapping users (from issues with premiums and fees for paid users/donors) But they did not back down. They refused to change.
the way they're currently advertising is the use of the ai bots on their site (which is basically then just ported into your servers) - report these ads as the malicious entity they are. they refuse to change.
*for simplicity, whenever i mention ai/bots/shapes, im taking about the generative ai-based chatbots that shapes.inc provides, and no, before you ask, it isnt a very good service.

Hey so I thought we as userbase should organize spontaneous blackout protest against shapes inc ads here. I thought Feb 26th would be a good date (so ppl has 72 hrs notice if they want to participate), we would log off for 24hrs to show tumblr we are not okay with that (and also for shapes to get less ad revenue for a day in a process lol). Yes! However you should not do business with sweatshop labor even if youāre less than 1% of the problem. Because sweatshop labor is inhumane and a violation of human dignity + increases suffering in the world. You should still minimize your footprint.
