I actually drew Susie twice while making this. The first idea was having her smiling brightly, but I drew Kris and ralsei first, and they had the softest look ever. Imagine someone looking at you like that when you've been called mean and aggressive your whole life. I drew Susie again and instead of a bright smile I gave her the softest one I could. She never needed a bright smile to shine through.

Sometimes I think about how if anyone gave her a chance earlier she could've had so many friends.
