I know somewhere within myself that nothing of what is happening is original or unique, my story has been told through other mouths and words for years. I have feelings that have been recycled and reused and re-abused. Generic though they may be, I still feel righteous and validated by these so called “original thoughts” I have. I write them down. I talk about them. I obviously feel like they’re worthwhile thoughts.

But they aren’t. My story is the same no matter the way I tell it. It is old. It is a dead franchise. That is the hardest thought I’ll ever work towards coming to terms with. I will fight this forever.
