Plague Source 2 Summary

(( Virgil and Commando come upon Rooster, who has been observing a village of infected citizens and believes the place to be a possible source of the plague. The village scout notices Virgil traveling and alerts the other villagers; they plan to interrogate travelers about a cure. Time passes and no one approaches their village. They decide to go out looking for Virgil.

Rooster leaves Commando and Virgil to meet the villagers and ask them about the source of the plague. He tells them that he does not have a cure, which angers them. The village leader answers Rooster’s questions and then orders the villagers to infect Rooster. The leader then notices Virgil and Commando in the distance and has the villagers chase after them. Virgil shoots at the villagers and Commando creates a wall of fire. Neither are enough to deter the desperate citizens. They continue on until Commando changes their body fluids into fire, killing them. The remaining villagers panic and disperse. Commando and Virgil are left unharmed. Rooster, although infected, is no less worse for the wear. ))

Plague Source 3 Summary

((Halloway, Silence, and Arctic show up to a barricade village. The villagers tell them to leave. When they refuse, the villagers attack them with ice dogs. Two of the ice dogs are melted. The guards then attack the three. Three guards are shot, and then the rest retreat. Arctic is beat around. Ultimately, the three search the village and find nothing.))

Plague Source 5 Summary

(( Grenadier, Twigs, and Dispatch meet up on the border of Fish Tail’s old land. The three enter the district to search for the source. Unbeknownst to them they’re being watched by a patrol that belongs to a fanatical group of healthy citizens. They radio their headquarters and alert them of the intruders, believing them to carry the plague despite the lack of outward signs. Headquarters sends allies to aid the patrol.

A member of the patrol gets overzealous and begins shooting at the group of supers. Other healthy citizens misunderstand the situation and begin to shoot as well. A mob forms in the street and attacks the group. The three supers try their best to fend off the mob using their own methods. The mob starts a fire to destroy the group, intending to burn them like they burn the bodies of those they perceive as sick.

The fire grows out of control and members of the mob try to escape the flames. Some reach safety, others are hit in the head by heavy objects, courtesy of Grenadier. Gunmen continue to fire at the group until they make their own escape from the burning district.

During the fight, Grenadier was shot in the arm and received a punch to the face. Twigs was hit in the arm with a pipe, which shattered her elbow. Dispatch was shot in the stomach. ))

Plague Source 6 Summary

((Graham, Corrina, and Tyrone go down into the sewers of Newton's district. They encounter the plague source and choose to keep her alive. They take her up to the city and she heals everyone, but by doing so the strain and the intake of the plague kills her.))

Plague Source 1 Summary

((Pest and Mote investigate The Laughing Wolf. They go to the district center and find nothing, but they do encounter a talking deer. The district wants to keep Pest and Mote to itself, so it tries to capture them with rose vines. Pest and Mote run away at first, but the district catches them and locks them away in a castle as princesses.))

Plague Source 4 RP Summary

(( Remy and Flyte meet up to look for the plague source. They run into Blaze in Renatus. The group is asked by a frantic man to help rescue his friend. A gang of sick people grabbed her and took her into the sewers below. The man leads the three to a large room in the sewers where he says the gang took his friend. The situation turns out to be a trap. The man was meant to lure the three supers down into the gang’s territory, where the gang planned to infect them.

The gang and the group of supers fight. Remy turns into a bird, which shocks the gang members and gives him enough time to start a twister. Blaze sees the twister and ducks into an adjacent waterway to avoid it. Flyte is not so lucky and gets caught up in the twister’s wake. She and the gang members are swept around the room and knocked out. Remy grabs his fallen friend and with Blaze, returns to the surface. Blaze received some cuts and bruises from the gang members’ knives and blunt weapons. Flyte’s leg was broken and her head was bruised. Remy also received bruises and his tail was broken during the fight. ))

((Hello everyone! In order to speed things up and get characters back on the dash, we'll be wrapping up all the rps today. We'll make summary posts, roll for the remaining turns, and the group that is finding the source will be jumped into a chat so that they can discuss how exactly they will deal with it. A cure will be made either way, so don't worry about your character suffering the plague forever. 8')

(( Recently it has come to my attention that I have miscalculated the previous mob and group sums for Source 5. For that I apologize.

Rather than go through and double check every calculation or keep rolling to reach 10, I am going to call the outcome of the battle a draw. Both sides have sustained serious injuries and the mob itself has suffered fatalities. The battle also seems to be drawing to a natural close and continuing with the fighting seems counterproductive. In my next post I will begin wrapping things up. The rp will end after Dispatch's turn. 

Once again I am terribly sorry. I will do my best to make sure the calculations for the other rps are correct.

The stag roared in shock and pain. It stumbled back, shaking its head to clear its thoughts of confusion. Again, the forest was confused. The trees shook and whispered and the mice screamed in confusion. What was happening what was happening what was happening? 

The princesses were leaving. They could not leave. Never, never. They belonged to the district and the Wolf Lord. How else would the story go on without the main characters? The district would be trapped in never-ending conflict, so close to its happily ever after but never reaching it. 

The tunnel lay wide open, a clear exit to the edge of the district and to safety. But from underneath the tree roots swarmed the mice again. They streamed after the girls, trying to catch onto their ankles and trip them so that they could drag them back they way they came.

The crowd began to disperse as objects came raining down. Some members were foolish enough to continue attacking. They tried to dodge the dangers falling from above. Largely they were unsuccessful. They took blows to the head, fell over, and moved no more.

The fires raged on. Fallen members were snatched up by the greedy flames, set alight in a matter of seconds. People ran away from the flaming debris. Some escaped further into the district, leaving the scene of pandemonium behind.

The gunmen continued to fire at the foreigners, reloading when necessary. They were relatively safe on the rooftops above.

Mob Sum: 0/Group Sum: 9

The bullets passed through the duo's shoulders, sliding through their clavicles and one of them going through the ribcage. The man holding the scythe coughed, wheezing as one of his lungs collapsed. The other man helped him up, but they were withdrawing. They could not beat these men. No, beasts. Monsters.

The other man struggling with Silence snarled in anger. He twisted away from him, the dog growling at his feet. But neither of them attacked. They saw their two comrades backing away, so they did too.

"You're fucking monsters. All of you. May you all get the plague and rot in the pits of hell," he spat. "Kill our animals, infect us with plague. No better than the fucking rats."

He spat at them in anger.

The last man still glared at Arctic. He did not back down as did his comrades. No, instead, he lunged again, aiming to punch his opponent in the face. "Say that again, fucker! Say that fucking again!"

Mob Sum: 1 / Group Sum: 0

The mob let out a cheer once they had infected the man, whooping and hollering as if spreading misery was something to celebrate. They then turned their attention to the other people out in the snow, following after their fellows. The villagers rushed past the man, jostling him around in their wake.

Shots were fired. The villagers screamed, clutching their injured limbs and scratching at the holes in an attempt to remove the bullets. Still they continued on, trying their hardest to reach the two men. They were fighting back. That had to mean they had the cure. They wanted to selfishly keep it for themselves. The villagers were outraged, their faces twisted into something inhuman and terrible. The sickness had rotted their minds and hearts; they were nothing but a pack of wild animals.

When the fire wall rose up they stopped. They looked to their leader, unsure of what to do. “What are you waiting for?” he asked, impatient with their stalling. “Go after them.” A few overly enthusiastic members leaped through the flames and suffered for their hasty move by catching on fire. The others began to shovel snow onto the fire, hoping to snuff it out before the other travelers got away.

No cure, no cure. They whispered among themselves. The group grew agitated at the news. They gripped their weapons tighter and pressed closer. The village leader frowned. He, like the rest, had been hoping that this time would be different. Hands pulled at the man’s clothes, tugging at the fabric to expose skin. No cure no cure no cure no cure.

“What does it matter?” the leader of the desperate village asked, a sad tone to his voice. “She is dead now. We barely understood what she told us, her mind already gone. ‘It came from everywhere,’ she used to say.  ‘It came from the depths of Hell.’ It was useless. She was useless. We took pity on her and ended her suffering. There was nothing else we could do.”

No cure no cure no cure no cure.

The villagers became rougher, ripping at the man’s clothes. “I am sorry,” the leader apologized, turning away. “You have no cure. You cannot help. People that cannot help should share the same fate as the rest of us.” He left the man to his rabid pack of villagers. Watching them made him sick.

The village leader looked off into the distance, trying to separate himself from what would be a horrifying scene. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed two other figures.

“There’s others!” he shouted, turning back to face the group. “There are more people!” The pack of villagers separated. Some stayed to dole out punishment to the useless traveler. Others joined their leader to meet the new people, loping ahead of him to make sure that they wouldn’t get away.

The rose thorns fell away, twitching and curling on the ground as they were severed. The stag bellowed, as did the entire forest, for what affected the roses affected them. They were all connected. A massive hive mind that bowed to the whim of a wolf.

"Princesses stay!" roared the stag. "Princesses stay here. Belong to Wolf Lord. Belong in district. Ours, ours, ours."

It moved forward, trying to box the two girls in with its great horns against the tree. But, in the district's panic and pain, the tunnel that lay behind the girl remained unchanged, a clear way out if needed.

Mob Sum: 3 / Group Sum: 8

The mob faltered in its advance, struggling to get closer to the foreigners.Screams of pain rang out as members were hit by friendly and enemy fire alike. Other members fought fiercely against the monstrous vines of ivy, slashing and hacking to try and free themselves.

More people poured onto the streets, a crazed look in their eyes. On the roofs, gunmen kept their weapons trained on the red blur weaving through the swarm of people, firing when they felt they had an opening. The people fought mindlessly, losing themselves in the angry frenzy.

Leaders struggled to keep their subordinates under control. This isn’t our way, they urged.You’re right, their subordinates agreed and set about gathering debris. Once they had enough, they held the trash to a lighter’s flame. With large smiles, they set fire to the street.
