Hello and welcome! I'm Plant, but feel free to refer to me with any pronouns n stuff!
I'm kinda new here so Idk how to properly tag stuff.
I'll be mainly posting stuff about Limbus company since it's been my obsession since it came out, but I might branch out and post about other stuff that interest me (I've been really into sts 2 recently lol)
I'm mainly posting stuff for myself, I've never really had a social media presence so this is all very new to me, more of a way to get out of my comfort zone than anything. But it'd be nice if I could make some friends in the process :]
A few more things about me, I'm autistic and adhd, somewhat agoraphobic (I'm working on it), aroace, and a psychology student.
That's basically it!! Hope you enjoy whatever this blog ends up being :]
I'm not too familiar with tagging stuff yet but I'll hide whatever I end up tagging consistently here!!
plant's rainworld adventure - a bunch of random posts about me playing rainworld for the first time!! Still an ongoing series!!! Any and all advice is appreciated, but I'm trying to stay spoiler-free for now!!!!
limbus stuff showcase - posts about me flexing/showing off limbus stuff, like my MD teams and the details of playing them and such. I've been playing it since it came out and I have all IDs and EGO so if anyone wants me to add some support ID just let me know and I'll swap it!!
jamila......... & alan mentioned!!!!!!! - my blorbos <3 I'm still new to having a Character to obsess over and for some reason it ended up being those two. Overall I just tend to really enjoy side characters tho, I like pretty much any PM one-off characters, although those 2 are special to me.
Good morning!!! - usually my first post of the day. Why is it a tag? Idk. Just felt like it. I usually post these while unmedicated and still groggy from sleep so milage may vary.
This is a PERSONAL BLOG btw. I'm reiterating it. I'm gonna vent and I'm gonna talk about my daily life and whatever else comes to my head. This hasn't been a problem yet but I wanted to make that very clear because I just want to set the right expectations from the start.
Reddit post "My friend is mad at me because I won't let them join the Middle, Am I the Asshole?
My friend lately has gotten the idea to join the Middle as a little sibling. Don't get me wrong, I've been in the Middle for 4 years now and I'm doing great, but my friend says that they're only getting the tattoos if it's of this stupid bear character for kids, kkomi or something? They keep asking me to take them to the Big Brother of this area but I keep refusing because I know they're going to get written down in the book of vengeance for that, and now they won't talk to me at all. AITA?
Update: so my friend started talking to me again and I thought everything was fine and they had moved on (they tend to lose interest quickly), but the other day we were walking together on my day off and we somehow cross paths with a visiting Big Brother of the south?? Apparently my friend had somehow found out that he was going to be visiting and had planned this whole thing beforehand, and dragged me to talk to him before I could react!
The worst part is, when they told the Big Brother about their idea, he just laughed! I thought they were dead for sure, but he actually agreed?? I'll never hear the end of this now."
I'd like to tell a story of mine rather than requested this time. One about someone named Avis. (Thank you @galloping-windmill for the nugget, and @t-01-54 for the AMAZING art)
She was somewhat of a veteran at that corporation. People came and died but she somehow stayed holding on to life. She had weathered countless monsters, been given some high quality ego gear too, she finally felt like she had somewhat made a place for herself in hell.
"Hey Avis did you hear? They got a new one of those monsters. They say this one could be trouble!" A junior said, Avis could have sworn she was torn apart just yesterday, "Yep! Are you scared? Hehe I wonder what it looks like! How could you not be fascinated by these things?" The junior blabbered on. "She isn't going to last long," Avis thought. The curious types never do.
"They get a new one every day kid, it's not like this is anything unusual. Let's just hope we don't die." Avis said, she didn't necessarily want her coworkers to die. Less people means more chances to get sacrificed to whatever beast gets here next. "Oh you're no fun! Well, I am getting sent to work with it, so see you later!" The junior said.
They never came back. Avis thought she wouldn't feel anything about it. She resented every Abnormality anyhow. But this one just a little more. Soon it was her turn to have a go at it.
". . . They want me to stare at it. . ?" Avis said under her breath. She had long since stopped asking why they wanted her to do such tasks. Whatever keeps her alive. Usually whenever it's this specific it means they've figured out the ugly bastards. She entered the containment unit.
All the breath left her body. She had seen monsters. A matchstick girl, murder happy machines, a goddamn butterfly man, a bathtub made of human skin filled with blood. . .
But this was different.
It was disgustingly beautiful. It was spread across the entire containment unit. And worst of all. . . Its eyes. They pierced her as hard as those branches would. Most of the monsters she saw didn't notice you unless they were about to strike. That's the horrible thing. This. . . This animal? Plant? Thing? Saw every part of her.
She felt the branches creep behind her. She couldn't look away. Every nerve in her body was telling her that if she looked away she was dead. It was absorbing her vision. She could feel the branches penetrate her eyes and grow inside.
She couldn't handle it, and blinked. Nothing
A deep sigh of relief, the blinking Camera in the corner signifying the manager was watching.
"Today's my lucky day, maybe I'll get a promotion for this!" She says aloud. The manager couldn't hear her, and this thing didn't understand. Surely it didn't understand. Hell, it hadn't even moved this entire time now that she thinks about it! She must have been imagining the creeping thorns!
Then the blinking light stopped. The entire thing convulsed. She felt it in her eyes, her entire being. Suddenly she was locked back into its many eyes. Her instincts said something had changed.
"I get it now," She thinks, "the gaze of others. . . It keeps it happy. But. . . Why is it acting strange now?"
The thorns start digging into her. From her eyes. From everywhere.
"Don't blink. Don't blink. Don't blink. Don't. . . Blink. . .!" That's all that she could think about. Her right eye watered.
"Surely it'll be ok if I blink one eye at a time?" She says, not really knowing or caring if it was in her head or aloud.
And her right eye closes.
As soon as it is out of view it strikes her right eye. Pain shoots through her entire face, she can feel blood spilling down her face, it was moving. Oh god it was moving. She couldn't blink, even still.
She screamed, it was getting closer, she tried backing away, only to find the thorns behind her. Her vision was slowly being blocked by the thorns.
The gap was getting smaller. And smaller. Until the doors hissed open, tearing the thorns from her back, as she stumbles back out of the containment unit.
"AAHH!!! OH GOD! HELP! I NEED HELP!" she screams as she stumbles back to the main area. The regenerator would help. Part of her right arm was stabbed through, as well as her leg and ribs. The rest was a blur.
The next day she was given a new weapon. As soon as she grasped it she felt it. The horrid creature was whispering in her mind. Avis wanted to vomit.
Another round of work. This time the manager's eyes stayed on the cursed thing. Nothing went wrong. Soon after she felt a weight on her head. She looked at whatever reflective surface she could find to see those same burrowing eyes and piercing thorns as a crown atop her head. She recognized those eyes. What was held in them was curiosity.
VIDEOGAMES FROM MY STEAM LIBRARY I'D GIVE TO EACH APPRENTICE
Kira is a bona fide gamer already, she already knows a lot of the more popular indie games that I have and would call me a larper after seeing my library (which still is a respectable 215 games, but I'm not made out of money like Matthias). So I don't know what kind of game to give her. Most of my action-focused games she'd probably already have played, and although I'd like to give her a more story-focused game, I doubt that she'd read if she even played it in thr first place. SO I'm giving her my party games like Gamble with Friends and Peak and Content Warning so she has more stuff to play with Matthias or the other apprentices that isnt so violent (also because maybe the other apprentices would have an easier time with them? And that could cause them to play more in the future if Kira isn't wiping the floor with them in like a fighting game or smth)
Sora is tricky because chains. So something that requires a lot of hand dexterity is a no-go. But I am also worried that if I give her a narrative focused game she won't be able to pay attention because of her beeper OR the beeper might end up playing the game for her. And YES the will of the prescripts aligns with her own but. I still wanna chuck that thing into the sea. Still, I'm giving her Slay the Princess anyway. And maybe card games? Since they can mostly be played with the mouse only, like Slay the Spire.
Ren is getting the bulk of my deep narrative games. Disco Elysium, Citizen Sleeper and such. I'm also giving him Find Matt's Cats so he can relax sometimes.
For Albina let's see... I wanna give her roguelikes/lites basically, and let her go wild crafting insane builds and such. Like a true work of art!! Personally I'd like to see her try her hand at various games but I think she'd get fixated on one in particular and only play that one forever and ever. I have a ton of roguelikes so I'm not gonna specify any :P
I have 2 games in mind for Lucio. I Was a Teenage Exocolonist bc I think he needs some nice and wholesome escapism and The Demons Told Me To Make This Game for some less nicer and wholesome escapism. And also speed run games like Neon White.
