a simple fixer who desires a stable life that nourishes their interests and connections, no matter how tumultuous life in the city can get. allegedly, they left district 9 before disaster struck, to become a fixer with their friends and open an office, the ripple office, a notary/peacekeeping office that uses instruments in combat. aAll this isn't to say that life is exactly easy for them - the office's funding is going downhill, they feel disconnected from their coworkers, but they've come around on the perks of smiling it off instead of complaining. for a long time, they've found proper company in one of the lcb's sinners, yi sang, long before his recruitment, being long time pen-pals.

miscellaneous:

paulle is my first proper self-insert and actual yumeship, since i think the others classify more as oc x canons even though they're meant to represent me, my other ones like amnesia and mercer are less like me but still have some traits of myself integrated into them + still represent me. paulle however, is deadass pretty much me

even though yi sang was the first character i ever considered myself to be the most in love with, rather than making an oc catered to another canon character for a specific dynamic, paulle still wasn't my first yumeship oc 💔i feel like that was because i resonated more with yi sang first before actually wanting to yume with him

their last name "fideyr" is derived from 'feeder' in a long, convoluted process: "feeder" is taken from the "bottom feeders" from splatoon 2, one of my favorite splatbands from that game, which was then corrupted and handed to one of my older ocs named "paulle fiedyr", a homestuck oc of mine 💔, i then corrupted the surname further to distinguish THIS paulle from THAT paulle

her weapon of choice is the laptop in her bag, based on my own laptop which is EXTREMELY annoying to use and work with. she's like martina in library of ruina where she like opens up the laptop and weird glitching tendrils shoot out of it because someone sold it to her from the backstreets. when she gets lucky/turns off a mysterious setting on her laptop she can kind of use it for work and stuff? its anomalous abilities let her connect to a certain someone in another mirror world (an oc of mine that im not sure i should show off yet 👀)

they are a BAAASSIISSTTT ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 because I AM TOO!!!

about a fun little similarity they have with yisang

her other weapon of choice, particularly in office combat, is her bass, which she has affectionately named 'giygas' and refers to as her daughter. i dont have proper pictures of what it looks like but just know her bass is red, i also have a humanized version of her (who is also... dating ren?) in tomodachi life as paulle and yi sang's daughter 💔💔💔

if i had to associate all of my yume ocs with animals, like how jenkins is a little dog-like, paulle is definitely very bunny-like. this stems from my love for usagi from chiikawa 💔 but she also just has those vibes anyway

the information about their home district is only labelled alleged because im not sure about it and im afraid of inaccuracies with the canon LMAOOO if it is plausible for them to have lived in district 9 before the pianist though then it will be canon, im the one who has to do research/wait for content for that

the most viciously loyal member the safety team and the floor of arts have, maybe even to a fault. scouted into the safety team from a simple, underwhelming nest life, they poured every ounce of their energy into overperforming for lobotomy corporation, instantly letting that motivation transform into chasing promotions, and chasing promotions into a devoted love for their sephirah, netzach. the safety team, and eventually the floor of arts, was run with an iron fist even without the manager or angela's command thanks to them.

jenkins is actually my oldest project moon oc, technically! i made them for fun while playing lobotomy corp (and before that, a roblox version of it 💔) and because i love netzach so much i projected that onto them and made them into a fully fledged oc

here's a list of jenkins' ego gears through the time of their employment (i forgot to add on the last one that they got bloodbath's ego gift)

jenkins may very well be my favorite oc, with his only competitor being my self insert, because it's more fun to write non-sinners, lobcorp is my favorite game, and they're genuinely just one of if not my jolliest, easiest-living oc, and their dynamic with netzach is also adorable to me

i know its obvious but im putting this here for the sake of character information: jenkins is absolutely a prideful, showing-off dumbass. not exactly in a way where they try to overshadow others, but they genuinely just love making it known or making it clear that they're capable and love their job, doing everything and then some in order to keep their team moving, giving netzach gifts whether or not they're in relation to a promotion, making friendly with the other sefirot just to be a social butterfly, the works. because of this they come off incredibly annoying to most of l corp's typically jaded workers, but a good few people are fond of them

i actually have a secret chart of their relationships with chesed, yesod, and netzach 👀 not entirely canon but its fun to think about

jenkins' favorite abnormalities in l corp are laetitia, der freischutz, and forsaken murderer

the tentative story for netzach and jenkins' confessions so far is that they waited until maybe a day or 3 before the seed of light was ready, jenkins was fully practicing what they would say since the beginning but netzach was just gonna wing it and let his feelings spill out after getting so confused and stressed out by them. that day they confessed and started steadily dating in the remaining days and then into the library. its a little funny because theyd both end up booked for a little bit when the library opens but thats for future me to deal with if i like that happening or i dont, which i kinda do rn

i never noticed it initially but i think i've always kind of associated jenkins with dog/puppy-like imagery, not even in a weird way i've just made so many jokes about him being like a dog ("nerina is a wet dog, jenkins is a dry happy dog) or like the golden retriever to netzach's black cat, blah blah blah, i think it fits him well

this post is making me realise i don't have a lot of drawings of jenkins solo which is partly because i love netkins and also because part of his character is generally supposed to be comically clingy in a way he doesn't acknowledge out loud but absolutely does 100% on purpose, of course he can stand being apart from netzach especially when he's bossing the team around but whenever he can he's clinging to him like a leech

PEQUOD STEWARDESS - NERINA DUPUIS

this post is coming in two parts in order for me to properly lore dump about her. that's intimidating i know. it is fearsome to me especially

Nerina Dupuis || 🧜‍♀️ | The Pequod Stewardess Affiliation: The Pequod (Formerly), Zwei Association South Section 6 (After the collapse of the Pequod) Gender: Female Age: 27 Height: ~174cm (5'9") Particulars: Shut-in, conspiracy theorist, clings easily

formerly an ordinary u corp resident living with her parents, a tragedy at 13 aboard a ship in the great lake had her body mangled by mermaids, leaving her to wash up alone on the shore. after a few fleeting years in an orphanage, she spent the rest of her years as an absolute hermit, drowned in her theories about the horrors lying in the great lake, brewing up her own idea of a monstrous, greedy society of mermaids based on her singular experience with them. she would decide to force herself out of her deathly fear of the lake - as well as to prove her theories right or wrong - by boarding the pequod, quickly being swept under the wing of its captain, who was all too good to be true.

nerina was my favorite lore-wise to write, because 1. i love ahab 2. i love miserable characters 3. i was able to give her relationship with ahab many confusing, complicated sides 4. i also gave her numerous deep symbolisms (most of which were written with the assistance of a friend)

she's the oc i have the most to say about, so strap on in

her birthday is july 20, the drop date of dinosaurchestra! in extension, her source song is Deep In The Ocean, and partially The Ocean from view-monster, but that's more on her relationship with ahab

she is, like amnesia and mercer, french, and the most comfortable speaking in french. not quite around ahab, but definitely with ishmael

she was initially an oc x canon with ahab, and she still is! but post pequod, i wrote her to fall in love with ishmael for character development reasons - she's always been extremely dependent on the people around her, having spent all her time on the pequod around ahab, so even with her wanting to start a life of her own after being saved, she can't help but fall back into habit by falling in love with ishmael, it's just that she knows how to regulate herself better

the pocketwatch in her breast pocket is actually EXTREMELY significant to her lore - as the song goes, she indeed had a family heirloom wristwatch that never stopped turning, but it was lost and devoured by mermaids on that fateful day, and she doesn't know if it stopped ticking. as an adult, she bought the pocketwatch to try and fill the hole left by the wristwatch. it wasn't magical, but it meant something to her - the wristwatch she owned as a child was like her heart, vibrant and given by her family, but it was swallowed and destroyed. in its place came the pocket watch, *like* the wrist watch, but hollow, detached, and bought by herself for her own comfort. in the end, ahab managed to twist it even further, like she twisted her heart - in the pocket watch was a small image of ahab (how did she acquire it?) - effectively filling her heart with nothing but that wickedness - before it was tossed carelessly into the ocean in the name of violent whims.

she survives the pequod being swallowed by the whale, where she becomes even more dependent on ahab's approval, but she manages to beg the lcb to take her out with them, which is the only reason she survives

her being the stewardess honestly just came from me wanting an excuse for my character to be close to the captain, i did NOT know there was an actual steward that would appear more than once in the book, but they're pretty similar in behavior anyways

on nerina's relationships on the pequod:

it's slightly outdated, because here's my new input on her relationship with starbuck:

it's MY PERSONAL HEADCANON that starbuck HAD feelings for ahab in the past, inspired by the alleged homosexual undertones between him and ahab in the book, BUT he got over them before nerina boarded. which is why, when he sees nerina acting the way she does around ahab, he feels a piercing sense of kinship and familiarity with her, knowing that he backed out sooner than she ever could, and she could get hurt if she doesn't. he's not as close to nerina as she is to ishmael, but she considers him a trustworthy, if not uncomfortably kind man (because she's not used to kindness *or* men). starbuck treats her like he would any other crewmate, with warmth and respect, but because of the similarities that both of them come to notice, they tend to reach out to each other sometimes when those difficult feelings about ahab resurface. the simple way to put it, is that he doesn't want her to end up like him/worse than him, and she wants to stop feeling jealous of how close he is to ahab even just as her first mate, as well as understanding why she likes ahab like this

i think i have a lot to say about her so i might just post my pre-existing arts of her one at a time and comment on them there. that is why there is no relevant art section for her!!! her lore matters 2 much to me for me to water down for this, if you really want to see some more, like her other designs or facts, some are on her artfight

just a quick post because im pretty proud of this, gonna spoil it now that jenkins will be the next spotlighter 🎊🎊 the lobcorp artstyle is really fun to do, down to trying to nail the awfully leggy anatomy, so i quite like this one

fun fact: one of the sketches for jenkins' sprite had them crossing their arms like yesod, at first i didn't notice but when i did it made me think of that being something they subconsciously do because they like to bother yesod too and they thought netzach liked him at first /hj

the point in their relationship in which netzach finally has to come to terms with the fact that yes, he likes jenkins as much as they like him. and the thought of them is overwhelming

im actually really proud of this one for once honestly, and i love netkins so it works out. i think i drew them so cute and the dynamic between them is my favorite
