Now that I am officially done Prince’s Gambit I feel it is time to officially show off my silly little map I’ve been keeping of Laurent and Damen’s journey (with heavy guestimation)

KEY

The blue dotted line is the movement of Laurent’s troops. The red dotted line is Damen’s adventures; the yellow and red is Laurent and Damen’s adventures.

The towns are all hard guesstimates. Fairly confident and happy with Ballieux and Nesson’s locations, but Breteau was a complete guess. Very open to revising this map if people have ideas.

The red and green arrows/lines are the in-text geographic notes. For example, Laurent says they’re going Southwest from Chastillion… when they plainly aren’t. Same with Damen’s adventures out of Nesson.

The dark red is Akielos’ army; we were given a brief description that they were going west, so Makedon is going west.

Reading Prince’s Gambit for the first time and my friend said I should post this here: someone forgot to check the text against the map and it’s the funniest continuity error ever.

Prince’s Gambit, via Laurent, gives us a very explicit route they’re taking from Chastilon to Acquitart:

“Southwest through the Venetian provinces of Varenne and Alier.”

Southwest.

South… west?

Laurent. Buddy. Are you sure you’re going south west from Chastillon? Into the sea? Also fuck Lys, I guess.
