It's actually because there's really only Aura Sphere or Focus Blast in terms of fighting type special moves, and Focus Blast is notoriously unreliable.

Nancy would be one hell of a pokemon.

She can learn a LOT of non-offensive dark type moves like taunt, parting shot, torment, nasty plot... so dark would be one of her types. Considering nasty plot, she'd probably be a special attacker in terms of offensive moves.

Ability would probably be either Moxie or Defiant. I don't know.
