When Jasper saw Akuroma he immediately froze up, letting his friends walk on without him. Once he got over the shock, he would’ve just went off and caught up with the other grunts. But it made him feel uneasy to see the man outside, unsure if he was just out for a walk or planning something else. Hesitantly he approaches him. “…uh, hey. Akuroma, man…is there something you need?”
He paused as Jasper talked to him and turned to look over his shoulder at him. He smiled as pleasantly as possible and turned away, shrugging, “What more could I ask from you? I would think you of all people would want to, shall we say, ‘kick me while I’m down’. But no, I don’t think there is anything I need at the moment. So thank you…”
Awkwardly, he tried to think of a way to leave again, but then sighed as he remembered Homika hinting rather loudly a little while ago that he should apologize. But he couldn’t really bring himself to look at Jasper when he spoke up again.
“…you know, Jasper, I am…well…I am sorry, for what I had to do before. Honestly, I never wanted to do that either, but all the same, I apologize what I put you through.”
For a rare moment, Jasper's silent, not saying a word or making any noise. He just nervously shifts his feet, looking to the grown and rubbing the back of his neck. He's not sure if Akuroma actually means what he's saying, though the optimistic side of him wants him to believe it's true. If it was, then he'd gladly, and probably stupidly forgive him. He was never one to hold grudges.
"Revenge is just a waste of time, man. It's better to just let things go..." He shrugs, trying to smile. "Thank you for apologizing."
