Hiro couldn’t tell a lie worth anything, so he was genuinely surprised that his lie had gotten through Wasabi. He wasn’t sure how obvious the relief was on his face, but he hoped it was hidden as the other pulls his goggles back over his eyes, attempting to get back to work with what he has.       it's almost meant to sound threatening, as a warning to whoever       may be listening ( besides hiro, though the possibility of that was       next to none ), telling them to keep away & not touch his        stuff.  the feasibility of fred's practical jokes about such a minor       thing is unquestionable, but the tone of their conversation strayed       from assumptions such as.  still, he speaks as if he were certain       of the odds.
