I haven't drawn one of these since I was in college.

Today I weighed myself and my weight was slightly higher than it was yesterday. The first thought that came to my head was "this is what you get for eating".

Some days I hate myself.

OC October day 7, prompt - a villain OC.

Magnus isn't really a villain, but he's definitely not a good guy. The dude's gone through a lot and came out the other side pretty twisted and violent.

Inktober/OC October day 6, prompt: OC most likely to write angsty poetry.

Most definitely Gabriel, he's by far the most angst risen of all my characters. I love him but you'd definitely be sick of him after an hour of him crying about his life 😅

Inktober/OC October day 5, prompt - character most likely to wear light up shoes. I couldn't help myself, I saw this pose on a shoe website and immediately thought of Jack 😂

I'm really enjoying making these, doing art challenges always pushes me to actually think about what I'm drawing.

Inktober/OC October day 4, prompt - a character that uses blue I'm it's colour scheme. . Since Will is the only OC of mine that has blue anywhere in their colour scheme, I figured I'd draw them in their favourite female form. I hope I did ok with this, I'm still getting used to this kind of shading. .

OC October/Inktober day 3, prompt: a fan character. While she's not 100% a fan character, Madeline was originally inspired by the Rise of the Guardians movie. I created her to help me deal with the idea of death when I first found out my grandpa was dying and she's been a great comfort to me ever since. She's the spirit of Halloween and also the guardian of souls, when a child dies, she and her helpers guide them to the next world, and if a child is not ready to move on she cares for them and helps them come to terms with their death. Sometimes the children still want to stay with her, so they become her helpers until they're ready to go.

I finally finished and I'm so proud! This is the most detailed digital drawing I've done in years, and I've never tried this sort of lighting so I'm pretty pleased with the results. I didn't decide to have a sunset background until the very end so I had to redo all the shading to change the direction of the light source, but it was worth it😊

Day 2 of OC October/Inktober. Prompt - a new OC. This is Will, as in will-o'-the-wisp. They have no gender and are able to change their physical shape at will, however Will's preferred guise is that of a teenage boy around the age of sixteen or seventeen. I'm not really happy with how the colouring ended up (especially on the face shading) and because I have such a limited colour palette I've had to leave some parts uncolored so it doesn't all just blend into one brown blob. I'm gonna redo this on my tablet where I can fix bits where my hand was too shaky and colour things more thoroughly.
