Shopping trip

Ok so I was just at the shop with my mum, we were going through the checkout when the lady scanning our stuff paused, she looks at me and goes "hey can I just ask, Are you wearing a binder" and I'm just like "uhhh" then nod she nods and goes "yea my daughter wears one too" then she goes back to scanning our stuff then she pauses again and says " are you ... Transgender" and I am standing there going do I tell this stranger that I'm a dude and as I say "yea" my mum pipes up and says "sorta she likes to think she is" the lady looks at e somewhat sympathetically and says "yea my oldest daughter is transitioning to male" I nod and mum just stares then the lady says kindly "its nothing to be ashamed of hun" she scans the last of our stuff and says as we leave "by the way you are an incredible handsome young man"

Prolonged chest binding has damaged my ribcage (possibly permanently) and as a result, I am in CONSTANT debilitating pain. I work with & bathe dogs for a living, a job that is very physical in nature. Due to my compromised physical capabilities, I am unable to do what I do for work.
