for : anyone 18+ who is nonjudgmental, a veteran deviant, looking to experiment, or just plain curious.
prompts : to be announced soon. seven per day, plus a bonus choose your own on the 7th! this makes for 50 prompts total.
regarding ships : the name is mildly misleading to deter people who instigate harassment in dc fandom spaces. as long as one bat (including more obscure characters who are only bats ‘occasionally’) is part of the work’s pairing(s), it will be eligible to join the event.
do i have to do every prompt : no! feel free to pick and choose, mix and match. you can do one fic with one prompt for one day; two fics for one day; a prompt for every day; shake things up and do multiple!
can i participate if im not comfortable with every prompt : dear reader, even i, the one who picked the prompts, am not comfortable with everything on the list! i cast a wide net knowing even then i wouldn’t be able to satisfy everyone. i tried to balance extreme prompts with milder ones for every day so any day is accessible to anyone who wants to join.
my niche interest isn’t on the list. will you add it? : the existing prompt list is a shortlist of ones i thought would be the most titillating — there were previously more. if nothing interests you but you have something else ‘gross’ you’d like to write about, you can take the reins with the bonus prompt and do whatever you’d like. you are welcome to combine a preexisting prompt with any tag of your choosing.
i’m worried about being harassed if i join this event : unfortunately rising puritanism in fandom spaces has contributed to this feeling, but safeguards you can put in place are posting anonymously to ao3 with the option to de-anonymize at any time. you can limit comments to none or to be moderated by you prior to posting.
how will event fandom works be stored? : closer to the event, i will create a collection and add all eligible (rule abiding) works to the collection and share it here, on ao3, and twitter.
