it's so awful that scammers have been using AI to generate images of people's missing pets "in their car" in order to demand a ransom for them to "return the pet" that they don't actually have. as someone who's been finding lost pets and extorting their owners the good fashioned way for years at this point, it's ruining my income and making people accuse me of being a scammer and refuse to pay me because they don't think i actually have their lost dog. people who make AI images need to learn how to put in some elbow grease for once in their lives
