I find it so funny every time an angel says "angel radio", it's like dean made that up , cas heard it and then he told all the angels that that was the correct term to use on earth to describe their form of communication

sorry to jump in but this is very vivid in my mind bc i recently rewatched 4x16 and when uriel allegedly goes to communicate with heaven he actually refers to the process as “receiving revelation” (which is not only tone-appropriate but it also severely fucks, bc, well, ben THEE edlund)?? and from cas’s lack of reaction we can assume this is accepted term??

but like imagine you’re an angel in the heavenly host circa 2008 and you refer to your internal network with the perfectly dignified “receiving revelation” and then your weird sibling castiel who keeps having to be rebooted to factory settings comes in twirling his hair like omg haha you’ll never guess what dean called revelation today. it’s the best thing it’s so funny i swear-- yeah angel radio!! yes radio like the wavelengths!! you know, like we are?? yeah haha isn’t he soooo witty and interesting???

and the tragedy is that against all odds, because Weird Sibling Castiel is canonically popular with other angels, it actually catches on and everyone start calling it that. imagine how PISSED naomi must have been. imagine being dean “just some guy” winchester and being so influential that your spur-of-the-moment joke redefines heaven’s communication infrastructure. trendsetter, icon, legend
