Here a few concept art ideas I provided for Waven around a multi elements Xelors. I went cosmic on this… LOL May be too much because they couldn’t fit in the art guidance. Therefore rejected…However, I put some personal time on it and I had fun doing this, even it was a first approach from my perspective. I think we could have done something really interesting! What do you think?
Gamedev is hard
So, lately I’ve been working more on commissions than on my own game. Why?
I’ve been having some troubles (code-related, of course), and I’ve kind of bumped into a wall, so I lost motivation to work on it because I’m afraid of wasting time trying to implement something, only to find that it doesn’t work and having to scrap everything, effectively going back to square one. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not dropping the game or anything like that! It’s just that I find it hard to actually overcome the fear of failure and just get working. Since I haven’t really made a lot of progress since the first demo (visible progress that it) I’m not sure if I’m going to make it in time for Demo Day 21. I might scrap the features I’m having troubles with and move on to something else, but I’m honestly not sure.
I’m even considering giving up on the idea of making the game by myself, and collaborating with an actual programmer. Sure, this would solve all my problems. I could rest easy, focus on just making models, textures and animations while somebody more competent than me takes care of the code. But I feel, as silly as it may sound, that this would be like giving up in front of my problems instead of improving myself to overcome them. I like that my game is 100% mine, and that everything there was made by me. So in the end, I’m really not sure what to do. I have fun coding, I really do enjoy thinking up systems and implementing them, making things do things, but the truth is I’m not as good at it as I would like. It’s frustrating. I’ve definitely grown a lot compared to even a year ago, but I still bump into seemingly unclimbable walls every now and then.

This is the coomon tbody temperature between Novakids! It determines how their colors and Brand colors (The ones with the * are both rarity and common brand colors.)
Gentle: These Novakids bodily temperature (Externally) Is around 23-35 Celsius.(73-95 fahrenheit) Hardly passing 38 Celsius. (100 fahrenheit). They are usually calm and pacific Novakids, And the most common to be seen in public. They reach 100 Celsius (212 fahrenheit) internellay.
Temperate: These Novakids bodily temperature (Externally) Is around 38-52 Celsius.(100-125 fahrenheit) Hardly passing 55 Celsius. (131 fahrenheit). They are usually upbeat and hyperative, And not so common to be seen in public. They reach 160 Celsius (320 fahrenheit) internellay.
Hot:These Novakids bodily temperature (Externally) Is around 60-76 Celsius.(140-169 fahrenheit) Hardly passing 82 Celsius. (179-180 fahrenheit). They are usually serious and dickbags, And uncommon to be seen in public. They reach 200 Celsius (392 fahrenheit) internellay.
Radioactive:Pretty much the same as hot ones, temperature wise. Although they emmanate more light and are Extremely dangerous to be around due to high levels of radiation. They are Rare to be seen in public. Their personality tends to be quirky.
Schorching: Their temperature makes a jump to a thousand Celsius and are, by all means, DEADLY to be close to. They tend to be very agressive and dangerous. They are extremely rare to be Seen
Black Hole Novakids: These Novakids are really curious! Instead of producing light, they Absorb it, and the area around it looks like it has a Dark Aura! They aren’t dangerous* (*Except for the Schorched ones.) and seen in Every type of Novakid Species. (Even if i didn’t put one in each of them.)
So there is the whole tutorial animated !!!
