Beelzebub and Belphegor returned later than usual, their arms laden with plastic bags decorated with the iconic Uncle Demon logo.
Mammon barely glanced up as they passed through the living room, but he did tease, "And where have you two been all evenin', huh?"
Belphegor rolled his eyes and retorted, "Why do you care?"
"Uncle Demon was having a buy 3, get 2 free sale," Beelzebub explained. The bags rustled as lifted his arms to peek into each one. Belphegor slowed to a stop in front of the hallway to wait for his twin to do whatever.
Beelzebub found what he was looking for on the crook of his elbow and shifted all of the bags until that one could slide easily down his wrist and be passed over to you. You happily grabbed it as Beelzebub said, "We got your favorite. Well, I don't actually remember which flavor's your favorite, but there's half a dozen in there that you'll probably like."
You thanked him and peered inside. The scent of cream and freshly baked dough drifted out.
Mammon finally sat up, his attention piqued. His phone fell to the wayside and he eyed your goodies with greed. "Where's mine?" he asked.
Beelzebub responded, "We didn't get any for you. Most of these are mine."
"Why not!?" Mammon jumped to his feet dramatically. He proudly puffed out his chest and prattled on, "As your best big bro, I deserve a little donut souvenir from time to time, don't ya think?"
"You're right, Mammon. Actually, we do have something for you," Belphegor said as he reached into the bag closest to his dominant hand. He rooted around for a few seconds, shifting its contents around in circles.
Mammon rubbed his hands together and spun around to face the youngest. "That's more like it! What'd ya get me?"
"This." Belphegor took his hand back out. All of his fingers were balled into a fist except for the middle one, which stuck out quite prominently as he gave Mammon the bird.
