Just as a general note: If you are under 13 years of age, you should not be on discord per the app’s own terms/conditions. If discord were to find out that mods/admins ingored underaged users being in their server, Discord could EASILY shut it down. If someone discovers that there is someone who looks “really young” in their server, and looks to be under the age to be using discord, the best thing to do honestly is remove them and report their account to trust and safety. As someone who works with 12-15 year olds, MANY of them don’t have a lot of mental/emotional maturity when it comes to online stuff, {their brains are STILL developing} and should not be on apps like discord without supervision especially considering what topics some more mature discords can get into. But regardless, the actions here of the mods/admins of this server seem really ableist, and honestly quite rude. There were way better ways to handle things rather than making fun of personal appearence and not being willing to accomodiate what could be someone’s very real struggle with autistic behaviors.

Oh and also as a reminder/note:

From reports I am hearing there are people who were put into positions moderators less than 2 weeks before the drama who have zero to do with the screenshots above that people are bullying and making really NASTY comments to.

So if you can, please make sure you direct frustration to the correct people. There are some members of that discord staff who are innocent in all of this who may have been unable/unavailable to speak up in this situation. And regardless, telling people to hurt themselves is not okay regardless of what that person has done. We are and should be better than that.

100% AGREE. As for the minor in the question, the person was 17 at the time. Claiming they look ‘5′ was a part of mocking their appearance.

I was in this discord server (I wasn’t one of the people mentioned)…don’t think I’ll be coming back tbh. I’m too old for this drama, also bullying is not okay, especially from grown ass adults.

While I do not believe in cancel culture I think that bullying minors (especially minors that you very well know have autism) in your private mod chat while maintaining a Pleasant facade is just a complete fuck up. However due to the fact the mods would not address their wrongs and actually deleted the server rather than listen to people demanding justice for them and their friends, I cannot help but feel this post is necessary, in order to protect Cindy’s younger fans. Never thought I’d be surprised by The Sims community yet again.

Actually no - what the hell? Sorry for opening yet another can of worms but when I was being mistreated on this site left and right they had the nerve to label ME as a ‘drama starter’. Nobody writes their own callout post? And I’m sorry, but what on earth’s wrong with dipping out of an incredibly overwhelmingly large server for a short while to them come back?

The so called ‘enemy movement led by [Jez]’ was no enemy movement, more a group of like-minded people with common sense and morals who do not stand for the petulant, private, ill-mannered discussion of your dedicated fans, most importantly, autistic younger fans behind closed doors of your pleasant server.

“I would hope no grown adult would act that way except for [⬛️⬛️⬛️], she’s one heck of a character” — you get to talk about how grown adults are supposed to be behave when you actually become a grown adult and behave like one.

PS mods are butthurt and tried to rectify the situation and made it worse. They literally shut the server down instead of actually listening to the truth. This is literally abuse of mod privileges. Shame on you
