So there was this discord full of grassless twitter teens who thought it would be funny to push a really annoying teenage girl to Cindy's server. That server was about Sims 2 Beta content. ANYWAY, that girl was annoying in Cindy's server and Cindy wasn't having it. Then that girl was like "I'm autistic" and a bunch of the MOST annoying simblrs got a hold of that and threw a fucking FIT."

This caused Cindy to be like "fuck this, I'm out." so she went on to just doing vlogging. tbh she like made the mistake of validating their shit, which was her first mistake tbh. Then she found out she had alopecia etc etc. Then her husband or boyfriend left her after cheating??

tbh all this I only know because I run simsecret which is where this story originally broke back when it was JUST some fucking niche fandom drama.

NOW though, after that Cindy found out she could be an Amberlynn esque drama vlogger. Which means that simsecret is getting blamed for this and people are talking about it there. tbh, this is lolcow tier drama now.

honestly? i kind of hate everyone here. from the cunty teens on discord, the tatte.life people for being fucking mad at a girl for making money off of manipulating them, and tbh? Cindy. Seriously, get off the internet and stay off the internet. Girl, honestly, stop feeding them your life. They'll eat and eat and eat until there is nothing left of you.

Obviously the only morally right person is me, the person who runs a failing sims drama blog and yelled at a bunch of teenagers in a discord server until I got kicked out <3

edit: I should clarify that we're mostly getting blamed by people who hate simsecret anyway. the cindy thing is so far outside the community that i doubt they know simsecret even exists. well, i know lolcow does, but, it's fucking lolcow.

hi everyone, i don’t like to talk about drama in the sims community because it’s usually not worth the time of day imo, but i just wanted to essentially ‘mourn the loss’ of cindy aka pleasantsims.

i’m autistic, i’ve made this known many times and i’m very proud to be autistic. the sims 2 is my special interest and helps me to express myself. autistic peoples whole worldviews can be built upon our special interests, we use it to help make sense of everything, to make us happy. so when i say the sims means everything to me, i truly truly do mean that.

when i found cindy i fell in love with her content. i saw a lot of myself in her, she was funny, sweet, humble, and her accent was lovely to listen to. when i was so incredibly depressed last year and couldn’t get out of bed, i would put on her livestreams, and everything would be okay for the time being. i’ve spoken to cindy privately before, and she was just as lovely. i loved learning more about her with each vlog, i became invested in her as a person outside of the sims. she was truly one of my biggest comfort youtubers.

to see what’s happened with her makes me just honestly sick to my stomach. it makes me want to cry seeing how people came after her. as an autistic person, seeing how you non autistic folks in the crowd have used my disorder as leverage against someone you don’t like on the internet enrages me. you guys do not care about autism outside of this isolated incident, you just want to tear down someone down. what happened was not ableist, cindy was not bullying an autistic child on the internet. this person was exhibiting behaviour that was annoying, and people got annoyed.

yes! we need to give more grace to autistic people as we do have social deficits, but we KNOW right from wrong. we KNOW how to follow and read rules. if we break rules and get in trouble for breaking said rules, that’s OKAY. honestly it feels like people are infantilising us. it is okay to be annoyed by people, yes!! even if they’re autistic!!!!!! cindy was being snide in a private conversation. wow. how awful. non of us has EVERR done that before right? (heavy sarcasm)

the way the internet has treated this woman is sickening. the way people are using autism to fuel the flames is horrendous. if you contributed to this treatment of cindy, i hope you feel ashamed. the autistic community does not thank you. you have not done anything beneficial for us. you have just bullied someone and used autism as your excuse.

While everyone’s been waiting for the infant update and subsequent expansion pack, I’ve been away giving makeovers/reworks of @pleasantsims​‘ Sims from her save file.

These are only five of the 18 Sims made over. If Don and Cassandra look familiar, that’s because I cloned my makeovers of them to use as bases.

Though I am fond of the names Cindy gave to each new Sim, most of them to me didn’t feel suitable to each Sim’s age and personality. So I changed most of them. For example, Eva Lothario is now Isabella Lothario-Goth.

Sophie the Puffin on YouTube is one of my favourite channels to follow, especially for Sims 2 content.

From her version of how to play Pleasantview, her Sims 2 version of Squid Game, this is the latest and one of the best ones she's done!

This is a different interpretation of how to nominate Aspirations to our sims, like how to choose what Primary and Secondary Aspirations to chose for you sims depending on their interests and personality points.

For example, if you have a Romance sim, they might not all be Serial Romancer, but a Hopeless Romantic who just wants to be loved, rather than cheating on everyone. Also, you'll have Family sims who either want a huge, loving family, or the family sim who is a strict and harsh parent (enter Mary Sue Pleasant looking at her daughter Lilith).

I have probably not done the best job in explaining it, so please check out the video attached for Sophie's much better explanation!

I made this account with the intention of, like, actually making Sims stuff first, but man the Pleasant Sims stuff is getting under my skin. And it's not because of her. It's because of all the NTs trying to "champion" for us when it's not at all necessary or, in this case, warranted.

I want to make one thing clear: It was not at all appropriate for Cindy to make fun of this person's appearance, whether they were a minor or not. That is always an unnecessarily low blow, and it rubs me the wrong way.

But for all of you saying that Cindy bullied a child for being autistic...

Please shut up.

I am autistic. I have ADHD. And I have owned and modded servers in the past. I also have basic reading comprehension.

Cindy was not annoyed at this person because they were autistic. She didn't even know they were autistic until later. She was annoyed because of the spamming. And I don't blame her! Spamming is fucking annoying.

Now, would I have mocked the spamming person's appearance or some other uncontrollable ""flaw"" of theirs behind their back to my mods? I sure as hell hope not. But whether they were autistic or not, I'd sure as hell be annoyed. Spamming is overwhelming to me, and it really agitates me. And if you choose to take "Cindy hates autistic kids!" out of that, that is entirely a you issue.

Additionally, CINDY APOLOGIZED, THE OTHER PERSON ACCEPTED, AND IT WAS WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE. Y'all...really like to neglect that detail! LMAO.

You can point out the things someone has done wrong without spreading wrong information. You can say "It's shitty that she made fun of someone's appearance—a minor's, no less" without tacking on "Cindy hates autistic people". Stop using autism to get to this false moral high ground, especially if you're neurotypical. It is not hard, LMAO. Y'all are like paparazzi trying to get out of context pictures for tabloids. It's gross. Learn a bit about gathering information before writing exposés please.
