Although the spike in her discomfort continued to fuel Hiryuu, he was a little too excited about the invite to notice. “Ah! That will be fine, I don’t need much! Plus, I have a little extra cash on me. Certainly enough to afford a futon!” Even before he had the chance to ‘move in’, he was already thinking of turning the place into his home.

His face then turns serious as a thought crosses his mind. One that he should have brought up earlier before even ‘asking’ to stay in her home. “So, what exactly happened to you that night?” It was an important question, and something that was definitely not normal. Unless she was a demon? It was a possibility, one that he would not doubt seeing as he was an immortal and all. Or perhaps maybe she was just a serial killer, an exceptionally deranged one. It made him curious, this darkness she carries around her. It was obviously something she wants to hide, but didn’t do too well at it last night.

It hadn’t even really been a yes and already Hiryuu was talking about redecorating. Blythe opens her mouth to protest him purchasing anything for her home, but before she can get any words out, his expression turns serious. 

“I- I can’t remember...” Emerald hues flick to the small bag that she had carried with her the night prior. Standing, she makes her way over to it, scooping it up and returning to sit before him. Pulling her journal from the pack, she flips to the entries right before the blackout. Glancing over the page, she gives him a summary. “I- I was at a local park. I- it was starting to get late so I packed up my things and left. A- and after that I- I don’t know...”

A light sigh leaves the girl’s lips, expression turning sad. It was frustrating not being able to recall moments of her life... Especially when she did such horrible things during those times... “I- I keep the journals to try and remember... T- to try and figure out what’s wrong with me. B- but when I get upset... M- my vision blurs... Then there’s nothing. A- and I end up doing what I did last night..” Just mentioning the murders caused the girl to ooze dread. Normally this conversation would be much more difficult to have though... But Hiryuu had seen the results of one of these blackouts... It was strange, but Blythe almost felt some kind of liberation from telling him the truth. A truth that she had kept hidden for years.

Giving a bit of distance at her question, he answers, “Oh, nothing too big. At least, you won’t notice!” He was liking this back - and - forth. He learned a little bit, she learned a little bit. She questioned him, he questioned her. He tormented her, she fed him. Mmmm, a cycle he was all too familiar with.

“Ya’know, living alone isn’t safe, especially for a little girl like you.” The tone of his noise was dark, even with the bright and ‘caring’ smile he had. As though he was alluding to something, but in truth he was not. She was a fine meal, but overall meant nothing as most people on earth had some sort of problem in their life. It just happened to be the amount she emitted, as well as the fun process of practically blackmailing her that made this so enjoyable. Killing wasn’t in his nature. Hiryuu could not feed off of a dead body. But watching Blythe struggle, his words pushing her buttons. Oh! How delicious!

Clapping his hands together, he declares, “I know! How about I stay here? Protect you?” For once, he wasn’t going to blackmail her into saying yes. In truth, he just didn’t want to pay for his hotel another day. Plus, he didn’t know how long he would be staying in town. Always having to leave before he caused too much trouble, receive too much attention. He didn’t want to be outed as a demon, after all.

It gave Blythe some form of comfort to know that whatever Hiryuu was doing to her, it really wasn’t hurting her. Now that the anxiety had simmered down a bit, it left the red head to curiously ponder what exactly he was doing in the first place. Questions begin to float through her mind. Did he need to be close to her to do it? Hiryuu was insistent that they meet so that very well could be true. He also touched her quite a bit... Maybe he “fed” through touch? But what exactly did that even mean? Blythe had never heard of anyone doing that before.. 

The red head was so lost in thought that she barely even acknowledges his second statement... But her other personality watches through emerald hues, hearing the putrid words spill from the demon’s lips. Blane was absolutely furious. Blythe wasn’t alone, and in her care, she was perfectly safe. Did the rightful owner of the body get into a ton of trouble? Yes. Often. But Blane was always there to do damage control. And even now she was waiting for this piece of shit to push Blythe too far... Disrupt her mental state just enough so that she would have the opportunity to do what she did best... Like she had the night prior. 

Blythe is torn from her thoughts with his clapping, emerald hues widening at Hiryuu’s suggestion. “St- stay here?” The word’s had come out with a bit of a squeak, cheeks flushing. “I- I don’t have anywhere for you to sleep- I- I- Th- this is a horrible place to stay. I-” She begins to ramble, not really knowing what to say... If she didn’t agree, would that mean he’d turn her in? Worry washes over the young woman’s expression with the thought. “I- I don’t need protecting.. B- but if you want to stay then...” I don’t have much of a choice. Was what she was about to say, but her words trailed off. Blythe truly was at the mercy of Hiryuu... With the pictures he had and his eye witness account, he held a lot of leverage in this relationship.

Despite being a people person, the lavender haired girl was absolutely horrible at sensing changes in mood sometimes. So when Blythe got a little nervous at the thought of bringing her over to her house, she didn’t notice. Not to mention she was busy stacking the containers neatly. It brought her the strangest sense of joy to have them organized, even if they would only stay so for a few minutes.

“Yay! Oh, I can bring you a plant! I have a small potter full of easy to care for herbs, so you can maybe have a nice little thing of plants in your house. A little gift. Plus you can add them to your foods and make stuff taste nice.” She smiled as she thought of the plants she wanted to give Blythe. They just needed sunlight and to be watered once a week. Easy to care for, and they made everything taste nice. The only problem was they didn’t have English translations, and so she wasn’t sure what to call them.

“A- a plant?” Blythe’s head tilts a bit, curious as to what other gift Amborella was going to give. The red head had never done anything even remotely close to gardening. She didn’t exactly have the yard to do it in after all... But the activity had always made her a bit curious. Taking care of another living thing seemed stressful, but if Amborella said it would be easy, then it was sure to be. Of course... She had also said painting would be easy too...

It was hard not to be excited though. Blythe was the kind of person that was easily swept up into other people’s moods. It made her happy that Amborella was such a talkative, bubbly person. That meant Blythe wouldn’t have to talk nearly as much. “Y- you’ve given me so much. Thank you, Amborella. I- it’ll be nice to have a sort of keepsake from you. L- like a token of friendship.” Blythe gives the other a small smile, hoping to completely mask the anxiety of the other seeing her home.

Lowering her eyes at the flattery that was being given to her. It was nice to be complimented but she was a bit at shock to hear such compliments for simplistic cooking. It was even a bit embarrassing since she wasn’t really use to much praise especially not for things like this, granted this was first time she ever shared lunch with another student. “If that’s what you think then, thank you for saying.” After eating that bit of food together the other girl reintroduced herself again.

She already made it a note to remember her name from earlier it was awfully polite for her to do so once more for her. “It’s a pleasure Blythe, my name is Ayano Hisakawa.” Formally introducing herself to the other as she handed Blythe the one half of her sliced orange and rolled omelet placing both on Blythe’s napkin without much say.

“If you’re an transfer student …does that mean you’re new to the area too?” It was clear that the quiet Ayano was trying her best as well to find things to socialize about too. Thinking that would be a good question to ask since she is a transfer student.

Blythe’s smile grows wider, glad that her compliment had been taken well. The red head had hoped she hadn’t gone overboard with it, not wanting the words to come off as anything other than genuine. “A- ayano...” She repeats, as if saying it would burn it into her memory. She’d be sure to write it down in her journal once class started.

“Y- you have a lovely name.” Another honest compliment, emerald hues watching as more food was unexpectedly offered to her, some even placed neatly on her napkin. She hadn’t planned on taking anymore, almost full from the rice ball... Blythe didn’t exactly have that much of an appetite, but there was no way she could refuse such kindly gifted food. “Th- thank you!” 

Nibbling at the lunch, she listens carefully to the other’s question. “Y- yes. I- I used to live pretty far from here, so I don’t know much about anything in this area... I- I was actually going to wander around a bit after school...” Blythe loved exploring new place more than anything.

Amborella got up and grabbed a bag from her tent that seemed to be full of dishes and tupperware. After pulling out a few sizable containers, she went back to the table and began putting food items in them. “Perhaps I could walk you to your house? I mean, you walked me to my tent garden thingy I have here so it’s only proper.”

She just didn’t want to be alone. If she went with Blythe, that gave her less alone time and more friend time. The woman could be in a huge crowd and she’d still feel alone if she didn’t have a friend. Blythe was a friend now and was making her feel less alone, so she didn’t want that to stop. The emptiness she felt when in isolation hit her hard and sucked all the happiness out of her. It was only sensible to want it to be filled with joy.

“And thank you for the compliment. It means a lot!” Part of her was happy she’d learned to cook now, since it meant friends.

Emerald hues watch carefully as Amborella got to work on preparing the leftovers. It really was going to be great to have some more food to eat, smile brightening with the thought... But it’s dropped the moment the other asks to walk home with her.

Blythe was very embarrassed with her dwelling. A tiny apartment tucked into a not-so-nice neighborhood. The building looked like it should be condemned and the interior of her own room was probably even worse. With only enough to pay for the room and a bit of food, the concrete box was rather bare... And she didn’t really want Amborella to see that. To judge her. But the red head also couldn’t be rude. Not to her new friend. 

“Y- you can walk me if you like.” Part of Blythe was glad to be able to spend time with the other for a bit longer... And she knew that Amborella was kind. So it should be fine... right?

Takumi smiled to the female once she had looked away from her journal and spoken to him. “I see. Well i guess now is a good time to figure out what you want to drink.” He brushed a few bangs from his face, following her movement to see she had spotted the creamers as well as the sugars. Sipping his coffee once again the ghoul returned his gaze back out the raining window, waiting for the younger female to come back and sit, assuming that she was going to come back. His head turned back over to the female when she spoke to him once more and smilied, “You are welcome. Most people have creamer and other things inside the coffee, but i’m not one of them. I like mine black.”

The ghoul hummed while setting the cup back down when she had began writing again only to answer his question. “I see. Well i guess if you have something that makes you not remember then that is a smart idea, but you might now believe yourself afterwards. But no don’t stop on my account.” He waved to the female while licking his lips and taking another sip of his coffee. “You can write all you want. It is just something I have not run into anyone writing down their surroundings like this.”

She takes another sip of the coffee, glad that she hadn’t wasted the little bit of money she did have on something she hated. Of course, she owed it all to this stranger for his great advice. It may have seemed silly to anyone else, but Blythe would never forget his kindness. It was rare that she talked to anyone.. And even more rare that they were such a good person. A small smile graces pale lips. 

“I- I have a lot of trust in this journal. S- so I think I’d believe myself.” Frail fingers run along the page as she speaks. It was true. Her journal was all she had. It was even quite possibly keeping her sane. “Th- there’s also a lot of beauty in things that I think people miss. A- and it’s kind of fun to listen in on a crowd. I- it makes me happy to write about those kind of things.” Blythe was a bit of an eavesdropper, finding other people so fascinating. Despite her interest though, Takumi was the first person she had really spoken to in a long time.

“I- is there anything you like to do for fun? Something that makes you happy?” She supposed it would be alright to ask him a question. Add more detail to the page dedicated to her new acquaintance. The red head just hoped he wouldn’t think her strange for it...

Although she had laid out the blankets for him to sit, he instead opts to search around the room. Whether there were many stuff or not, even the smallest thing could give him some clue on how to torture his meals. Making his way to the journals, he lightly kicks it curious. “What’re all these?” he asks, “Diaries?” He wouldn’t mind taking a small peek, and he was severely tempted too.

“I’m Hiryuu,” he offers while licking his lips, before turning away from the books to take his seat across from her. “It doesn’t really look like you even live here,” he says noting the barren atmosphere. Grabbing onto his seat, he scoots closer to her to their knees almost touch, him sitting cross - legged. “No boyfriend?” he teases. There would be no way two people would live in such a room that lacked personality, or maybe that was a personality in itself? Reaching forward, he cups her cheek before moving to lift a strand of her hair, twirling it between his finger. Once again, licking his lips. “You taste delicious.”

Emerald hues widen a bit as he kicks the pile, short spike of anxiety surging through her. “Th- they’re my journals...” It wasn’t like she would mind if he read them... He already saw what she did last night, and there were pages flooded with similar stories in that stack. But it was important that the books stayed safe. They were the only tool that she had to find out what was wrong with her... And if she ever lost her memory for a longer period of time, she may need them to remember who she was... It was a fear that constantly plagued her...

“Th- that’s a rude thing to-” Blythe starts but now he had scooted closer toward her. “N- no. I don’t have a boyfriend...” It was too scary to get that close to someone... Not with the things she did... The red head was surprised by how many questions Hiryuu was asking though, wondering if he really did want to get to know her. “I-” But again she’s cut off by the hand on her cheek. Her face burns hot with his touch, shrinking away from his fiddling fingers. “W- what exactly do you mean? Wh- what are you doing to me?” It honestly didn’t feel like anything was happening to her... Unless, of course, he was referring to how uncomfortable he was making her..

“That actually has more than one answer - people either sell it to us or my family manages to collect it. But, sometimes, there are just some things that even we’re not willing to part with. And those are either in display or in the back.”

Damn, she was still nervous! Was she doing something wrong?! She was being as gentle as possible with the stranger, so just why was she nervous still? It didn’t make any sense!

It wasn’t anything that Tatiana was doing that was putting Blythe on edge. It was just in her nature to be nervous around people she didn’t know. It wasn’t often that she talked to other people... And she didn’t exactly go out of her way to get close to other’s often... Getting too close normally meant bad things for the other party..

“I see...” A spark of curiosity shown in the red head’s eyes, feet shuffling her over to the shop owner. “S- so if you keep things you don’t like to sell, do you have a favorite item?” The shop itself was interesting, but Blythe also wanted to know about the people who ran it. It’s history. Details that she could scribble into her journal when she got the chance.
