amaya knew that she shouldn’t be so upset that danny had finally found someone. maybe it wasn’t a good idea that she was there with him to meet her but she didn’t think it would hurt her that much… boy was she wrong especially when she watched them with her own two eyes kissing she wanted to cry, but she wasn’t going to not in front of him because she was his best friend. she quickly made up an excuse saying she needed to rest because she had a long dance class tomorrow and sleep was something she needed — but it was a horrible lie since it was only two in the afternoon and she never went to bed early and he knew that. luckily she had driven herself there and he did as well so she made sure to let him know that she was happy for him. no sooner then she had gotten home and into her room she busted out crying but she’d quickly wipe her tears away just incase he decided to come over and talk highly about his girl, which would end up hurting her a little bit more but she would suck it up just for his sake.
danny had been unsure about everything to begin with, knew that sarah was weirdly jealous of his friendship with amaya, which had torn him; part of the boy wanting to defend best friend whilst the other part wished that the two girls would grow to be friends, a thought which he knew was just naive. still, he’d suggested they all meet primarily to hang out. and then sarah was kissing him and he could feel his stomach sinking further and further at the situation. he felt bad but he’d only asked the blonde out in hopes of it halting his crush on his best friend, but hearing her make her excuses to leave he only found his thoughts straying to the brunette. worry surged through him in that moment, concern for the girl who’s been beside him for years as he tuned out whatever sarah was saying for a beat, dimly aware of her being less than pleasant with the comments she was making. sighing loudly he ran a hand through his hair before glancing at the other; shaking his head a little, “you can’t even try to be friends. you know how important amaya is to me...” danny stood up, mind already made as he threw some cash down on the table to cover the bill and tip; “y’know what? we’re through.” he muttered, before making his way to his car; knowing that he had to clear the air with his best friend, driving almost on auto pilot after shooting her a text to let her know he was on his way.
