It scratches at my thoughts, the music almost a voice, at once unearthly and beautiful. I found myself humming it aloud a few days past. Where once it intruded, it now feels a natural part of my mind’s course. real life update so y’all can understand why i haven’t been around

so i’ve still been doing the real estate school, but i found out in the middle of the schooling that you can’t get ur real estate license if ur student loans are defaulted---mine are. luckily, i’d started the rehabilitation process already, i just had some paperwork i needed to fill out and a last couple payments to make. i expected to be done with that process june 22nd, but it turns out that after everything’s done it can still take 2 months to finish processing, and i’m ngl i was already running out of savings when june 22nd hit. i was really counting on being able to start real estate asap, but that’s... not happening.

meanwhile i need to find a new roommate and apparently re-apply for my apartment, but with no ‘real’ income right now i definitely won’t qualify. i had to ask my brother to co-sign for me, and if i could explain how much i hate asking for help... hooooo boy. honestly i would rather suffer than ask for help. anyway the most promising roommate was supposed to come check out the apartment on tuesday and then couldn’t, and i just... really want that to work out because pretty much everyone else who’s contacted me are all cismale, and i don’t want to deal with that (no offense to my cismale friends/followers, but i don’t have time to build the necessary trust for me to live with a cismale roommate. i don’t even rlly like the short timeframe i have to find a roommate of any gender.).

so i’ve been doordashing and trying to build a twitter following for my art to hopefully get some consistent commissions, and my only mental escape has been dnd. all my other freetime is spent trying to make enough money to survive and lmfao being incredibly anxious and depressed constantly.

tldr; i’ll come back as soon as i can, but right now i just don’t have the mental capacity for this.

what social anxiety really is: taking months of knowing someone to feel comfortable enough to have a real conversation, your mind going blank during small talk, inability to participate in groups of more than three people, mentally rehearsing “simple” tasks such as ordering food or making a phone call and your heart racing anyway, constantly feeling watched, being afraid of getting places too early or too late, fear of being judged over the most random things (”is this a socially acceptable ice cream flavor to buy?” “what if they think my shampoo is weird” “will they hate me if I get up to throw my trash away?” “what if I emptied the dishwasher wrong!”), having panic attacks when you have to ask a teacher for help, constantly feeling left out or excluded even with friends, your hands shaking when you get called on in class, being overwhelmed in crowds and public transportation, disliking being touched, perpetual fear of disappointing those in authority, overall difficulty forming relationships, missing out on milestones or social events because you either have no friends to go with or know it will be overwhelming, preferring to be in groups of three so that conversation isn’t solely up to you, making so many everyday tasks so much more difficult than they need to be due to a crushing fear of being judged by random strangers you will literally never see again and needing to be seen as flawless
