Pretty Little Liars Fan Cast
I just finished reading all the Pretty Little Liars books a month or two ago (I finished watching the TV show, before I started reading the books), and I had no idea that literally no one in the show looks like how they do in the books, like, not even close. Caleb doesn’t even exist in the books!! So I decided to make a fan cast (or a ‘what the people from PLL would look like in real life’ since none of these people are actors/actresses). I picked mostly characters from the first two books, with the exception of Noel. I tried so hard to find someone to be Noel, but I couldn’t find anyone I thought was good enough. So if you guys want me to do another one of these, Noel will be the first person on the second one. I’ll also do more characters like Ezra, Toby, Jenna, Lucas, and others. I hope I got all my facts right too, because I sometimes get little things from the books mixed up with stuff from the TV show, like I can’t seem to remember if Melissa had blue or brown eyes? Anyway, I hope I got it right.
I wanted to tack this on the end here too, and say that I really did love the TV show, and thought the people that played the characters were really good (unlike say the twilight movies, which were just all around bad). I just think of the TV show and the books as two separate things, and wanted to show what the book characters might look like. So yeah. That’s all, enjoy!
Alright, first is Wren, who is Korean/American (I think?) in the books. While looking for someone that was Korean/American I came across this guy who is Japanese/American. I didn’t really consider him since he was half Japanese, and not Korean, but after looking through so many different guys for a few days, I ended up choosing him because he’s the most similar to how I pictured Wren. He’s not quite as ‘smart looking’ or young as I pictured Wren though. If you guys know of someone you think is better send me a pic or add them to the post cause I’d love to see them!
I don’t know who this girl is, I’m fairly sure this is just a stock photo. But she’s almost exactly how I pictured Melissa, with her blunt blonde bob haircut especially. If anyone knows who this girl is let me know.
Ian is described as a good looking guy, who’s blonde and looks like a surfer. I thought this guy fit the description. Plus he totally looks like a guy Alison and Spencer would fight over.
Oh Mike, how they butchered poor Mike’s character in the TV show. It almost makes me mad to think of it now. Anyway, I found this guy that looks like he could be in high school and also looks like a lacrosse player. Plus he looks like he could be related to the girl I picked for Aria.
Ah, Mona. I actually really liked Janel Parrish as Mona, but in the books she’s described as a petite blonde with blue eyes. This girl looks really similar to how I pictured her.
This girl is the perfect Hanna! Seriously perfect, she has the hair color, eye color, everything! And she looks like she could be in high school which is a plus.
I think this girl is great as Spencer. She looks so much like how I imagined her! She also looks like a high school student, and like she could be related to the people I picked for Melissa and Alison/Courtney, since they’re all sisters.
I don’t think I could ever find someone that looked exactly like how I pictured Aria, because I had a really clear picture of her in my head. This girl has the ice blue eyes, pale skin, and dark hair but she’s not as model-esque as I imagined. She’s also a little too old to be a high school student. I still thought she was pretty good though, better than Lucy Hale who I thought looked more like Hanna than anyone else.
This girl looks so cute and nice, which is how Emily is in the books. I feel like they tried to do that with Shay Mitchell in the show but it didn’t quite come across that way. Emily was always one of my favorite characters in the books because she was so nice and sweet, and I think this girl is great as her!
Alison/Courtney: Loren Gray
I loved Sasha Pieterse as Alison! She was so good at being so mean and awful, and had the perfect heart shaped face and blonde hair. I think this girl actually looks very similar to her. Sasha wasn’t quite how I imagined Alison though. When I came across this girl however, I was shocked because she is exactly how I pictured Alison/Courtney. Especially the picture where Loren Gray has her hair in ponytail. She looks just like how I pictured “Courtney” when the girls meet her for the first time at the press conference in front of the DiLaurentis’s house, and they say her hair is in a pony tail and she looks like a model.
And that’s it! I hope you guys liked it, and I’d love to do more of the characters, especially ones that were big in the show, but not quite as big in the books like Ezra and Toby. I’d love to hear what you guys thought of this too, and if you know of people that you think are better for the parts (because none of my fan casts are perfect) message me or something. :)
