Do you like Dragon Shores at all?

Mudada shrugs a little "Personally, I do not care much for the noisy attractions there, but the water is a clear, lovely blue, and the sand is nice and warm. As long as you dont mind the noise, it is indeed a lovely place to vacation."

Mudada looks at his calendar to see that it indeed was a new year, as Fayette has replace the previous lizard calendar with a new lion one.

"New year already? Time moves far too fast for me.." he sighs a little and shakes his head before smiling at the Anon, "Happy new year to you, too!"

Are you enjoying these cold temperatures or do you prefer the warmer seasons?

Now that his plate was empty he got up from his seat and waddled slowly to the kitchen.

"The harshest cold occasionally makes my bones ache, but I do enjoy a warm summer day."

What was it like meeting Spyro for the first time?

Mudada chewed thoughtfully on a bite of pancake as he recalled the youngster.

"When I first met Spyro, it was a Tuesday. He was very young, young enough to have the fear of monsters under his bed. I was asked by Nestor to create a different toy than I would usually make." The elder dragon said with a mysterious look, but that expression melted into a clever smile as he continued.

"I was asked to make him a monster. Not like a real, harmful one, but a toy, one that he could learn from. It was crafted from the strongest and softest fabric I had, and lifelike details stitched into every inch of it's being, as well as a touch of Dream Weaver magic that made it so incredibly special."

Cutting another piece of pancake with his fork, he smiled and finished his story, "It was placed under his bed, and as he slept, the monster would appear in his dreams and beckon him to attack. Upon either flame or headbutt, the monster would turn into the toy, and admit its defeat."

"Spyro was so proud of himself the morning after the monster's defeat. He took the toy from under his bed and torched it, fulfilling its entire purpose."

Mudada lifts the piece of pancake and drizzles a little extra syrup on it.

"He hasn't been afraid of monsters under his bed since."

Wow, that's nearly triple the life expectancy of a human... I don't think I could ever imagine what two centuries could be like, especially considering that I haven't even been around for a quarter of one. Still, it's so cool that you two have been together for that long!

"Yes, we've shared many experiences through the years and decades, even despite the two of us living in seperate areas of the Dream Weaver lands. I love him and cherish every moment I share with him, even those that you might think to be boring." Mudada smiles fondly.

What's your family like, Mudada? Do you have biological parents, adoptive ones or were you hatched from a fairy-brought egg?

Mudada hums a little and sits down with his plate of pancakes, the jug of syrup, and a fork, making himself comfortable before pouring a bit of syrup onto his fluffy stack of pancakes.

“Ah... I’m sure you’ve heard of my son, Pucando.. He’s studying as a Magic Crafter in the Wizard Peaks.. My daughter, however, prefers the magic of fairies, and is living in the Haunted Towers. Lylace has a natural talent for fairy magic that is quite fascinating.”

“As for my parents.. My mother adopted my egg and raised me on her own, as best as she could... She passed away almost a century ago, but I know she would not want me to think of her as gone forever.”

“And I’m sure you know of my relationship with Revilo. We’ve been together, happily married for two hundred years.”

Something about this year feels like it's completely blown by in a flash despite everything. Christmas is barely over a week away and then not long after that we'll be ringing in the new year.

“Indeed... its unbelieveable that time could move faster while feeling much slower.” Mudada moves his curtains and looks at the clouded sky outside.

I heard that your textile supplies got massacred by moths the last time you had a major sleeping bout. Did you manage to keep them safe this time round?

“I kept my materials safe, yes, I employed the use of a insect repellant spell to prevent any more problems. I knew I was to be gone for a while, so I was prepared.”

Flipping the last pancake, he reached up into the cabinet and took out a bottle of syrup to enjoy his pancakes with. The stack was roughly four or five inches tall, but the pancakes were very large, nearly meeting the edges of the plate.

That might explain why I was hearing rumours about a sudden surge of the usual denizens like armoured turtles showing up and being more dangerous than what they normally are.

"Many entities that escaped were, thankfullly, of a physical nature instead of psychological. The few psychological entities were the first we dealt with, while Peace Keepers took care of the physical entites."

He watched the butter melt in the pan, tilting the iron cookware to coat the surface before pouring a bit of batter into the pan, tilting the pan to spread the batter around.

So the Dream Realm itself is sort of sentient?

"Sentient is a relative term... but is is very much alive.."

Mudada retrieved a bag of flour, a few eggs, milk, and a bit of sugar, mixing the correct quantities into a bowl to make pancake batter.

He reached up and retrieved a large pan from the hanging rack on his ceiling, placing the pan on the stove and putting a pat of butter in before heating it up.

I don't know much about what other consequences would've resulted from that thing, but it sounds like who knows how many nightmares could've escaped through and manifested into the physical world.

The elder dragon nodded, “The nightmares that did escape, as well as dreams, were retrieved and returned to the Dream Realm, though we’re unsure of how such a massive wound was inflicted on the Dream Realm in the first place...” He turned and picked up a small, metal, star-shaped tea strainer and poured a generous amount of the tea blend into it.

As he placed the star tea strainer into the porcelain teapot, the kettle on the stove was carefully picked up by Fayette, who used a little potholder to bring it over and pour the hot water into the teapot.

“I suppose whatever harmed the Dream Realm has already fallen through to the void, a consequence of such an act. The Dream Realm can easily protect itself from unruly entities within it, but we may never learn what did it..”

It sounds like it could've been pretty serious if it took you several months to deal with it. Are you going ok?

"I will be, and hopefully the Dream Realm will be okay as well.."

He covers his mouth as he yawns, then pulls a jar of tea leaves from the cabinet and fetches his hot water kettle.

"It took a while to heal such severe wound in the Dream Realm... I wasnt the only Dream weaver taking part of that effort.. Together we managed to staunch the bleeding effects of the Dream Realm and stitch the wound shut.."

Mudada puts the now filled water kettle on the stove and begins heating the water while he begins to search for his good teapot.

"We remained until the wound was healed enough to prevent it from opening again on own.."

Hi, Mudada. Nice...home defence/alarm system you've got there.

Mudada barely heard the Anon, his head still so full of dreams, unusual and bizarre ones, that hindered his senses for a few moments before he raised his hands and waved them around his head, as if clearing away smoke or fog.

Rubbing his eyes he looked over at the doorway, where Fayette had allowed the Anon to enter the house. His expression quickly went from one of exhaustion and drowsiness to one of happiness and welcoming.

"Why, hello there, my friend..." Mudada's voice croaked a little as he spoke, his throat a bit sore from sleeptalking for several months.

Fayette floated into the kitchen area and retrieved a cold glass of water for the dragon, who thanked her silently before taking a long sip before speaking again.

"I apologize for my absence... I have been on an important quest in the Dream Realm, and I've... Resolved the issue.. For now at least..."

He leaned back ever so slightly and his back audibly cracked a couple times, stretching to wake himself up further.

"I'll tell you later, if you'd like, but I'm quite hungry... I think pancakes would be delicious.." he said, carrying the now empty glass to the kitchen.

Oh, that's what the mailbox looks like! I like how it's mixed with those lawn flamingo things, it's a neat kind of surreal.

The mailbox seems to suddenly react to the Anon's observation, the little door that had previously been wide open suddenly snapped shut, catching several envelopes in the gaps.

The door swung back open with a loud, undignified squawk as several letters shot out as if fired from a small cannon, the wings of the flamingo-esque bird body flapped in alarm and scattered tiny coral pink feathers into the air.

The mailbox flailed around on its singular leg and squawked frantically, the mail flag on the side of its "head" flicking up and down with each noisy screech.

Then the curtains in one of the windows of Mudada's house moved.

What do you consider to be the best thing you've made with woodwork so far?

Mudada taps a claw to his chin for a moment, thinking off all the things he’d made. Eventually he looks over in the corner of his workshop where there’s an old wooden rocking chair sitting on a crocheted rug. A basket full of different sizes, colors, and textures of yarn sits by it on a small wooden table.

The rocking chair itself is painted a deep, nighttime blue, little gold and silver stars painted here and there. On the top part of the backrest, which had been built to accommodate a large tail, words are painted on in pink, swirling lettering that’s surprisingly easy to read. The lettering only says this; “Without dreams there is nothing to love... And without love there is nothing worth dreaming about.”

“I had initially built this rocking chair for my dearest Revilo, but I realized that he had no need for another, so I kept it for my own use, and I try to knit with the same skill as he does, but I don’t have nearly enough patience.” He chuckled a little, gesturing to the five inch piece of scarf he had sitting on the edge of the table.

“Pool noodles are light and soft and can fit onto hatchling horns easily. Keeps them safer when play fighting, don’t need any accidental bumps when charging, either.” Mudada says, chuckling a little.

“I don’t know if your hatchlings’ dinosaur genes will change this, but dragon hatchlings are given dragonflies when they first hatch. I’d ask a Magic Crafter who’s well versed in dragonflies about that.”

Furrowing his eyebrows a little he thinks for a moment.

“Ripto, you know more about dinosaurs than anyone, so this makes you the most prepared out of all of us dragons. I don’t know anyone who knows about dinosaurs much, so you’re possibly the only one who knows what dinosaur hatchlings are like.
