The ninth house handles higher-education, travel, foreign affairs and spirituality.
This is going to be fun. While Cancer is the house ruler, we also have Leo and Virgo energies in the house, creating a weird combination.
With Cancer over the 9H, Camila's emotions will influence her beliefs and decision making. Cancer being a water sign, it will be unlikely that Mila makes decision regarding education, travel and spirituality based on logic and/or reality.
She will likely prefer to be away from home and will be comfortable in foreign places, being able to adapt to various different cultures. Camila will strive to find peace, Cancer is wholesome energy, think of mum-friend vibes. However, if Mila's mind is not aligned with her desire for peace, she will find it difficult to achieve these desires.
This position of Cancer of the 9H indicates living abroad, if supported by planetary placements and aspects. A strong purpose will always be connected to Camila's family and emotions, however if there is family problems or lack of support from family, this will need to be resolved to be able to form calm relationships with future partners and/or children.
The Moon is in the 7H. Why do we need to know this?
Each house has a Lord, depending the sign that is over the house. It doesn't matter if there are any planets within the house, the house Lord essentially communicates from the house they are in and brings energy across from their house.
Therefore, Emotional Mum Moon is the Lord of the ninth, as it is the ruler of Cancer, however, is in the 7H. So what does this mean?
The ninth house handles travel, higher education, philosophy and wisdom finances, and the Moon being the natural satellite of emotions and mother sits within the seventh house of relationships, both personal and business alike.
Camila's desire for higher-education, philosophy and foreign knowledge is connected to her personal (intimate) and business (professional) relationships. This can indicate that Mila may find connections, both personal and business related, through foreign affairs, travel, education or spirituality/religion.
With the Moon bringing energy over from the 7H, she will be inherently good at creating professional relationships within foreign affairs and culture, and could find herself working abroad often. Camila could also find multiple lovers with foreign backgrounds or through education, and could have the desire to move away from her birth country to continue these relationships.
Mars represents your anger, desire, passion and intimacy.
With Mars sitting in Leo, Mila will have confidence and courage and will listen to her heart more than her head. This is a good placement for the planet of action, as fiery Leo demands attention, determination and affection.
In intimacy, Camila will love to feel loved. She wants it to be all about her in the bedroom, likely having a partner that would move a mountain for her. She wants to be worshiped, showered with love, luxuries and affection. Mila will expect romance and passion from her partner and will not settle for less. If she believes she is not being given the attention she deserves, she will leave.
Camila can be hot-head and whiny. With Mars in Leo, the fiery energy won't allow Mila to take no for an answer. She demands action and solutions straight away and if things don't go her way, be prepared for an epic temper-tantrum.
Mars being in the 9H is a good placement, as the ninth house is naturally a fire house which feels familiar to Mars. However, being a cadent house, if Mars is negatively afflicted, Camila may struggle with finding the motivation and desire to bring her ideas and intellect to the physical world.
Mila will strive for constant growth and knowledge, putting a lot of effort into learning and achieving high grades in education. Mars sitting in 9H may make Camila successful in her education, due to the strong desire for success in knowledge.
She will have a passion for travel and foreign culture, this placement indicates moving abroad however if afflicted negatively, she might be impulsive and reckless, leading to dangerous situations. Mila will be highly optimistic, enthusiastic and motivated, especially if Mars is in a tight orb to the Midheaven as this emphasises ambition.
Religion and/or spirituality will be a focus or passion for Camila, depending other placements and aspects, it could either be to follow and hold faith in religion, or find the culture fascinating, but wishes to change it.
Mars in the 9H indicates prolific talents within sport as it creates a lot of energy being under natural fire house, as well as fiery Leo in the natal chart. There will be a hunger for adventure and spontaneity with this placement. Depending the Mercury placement, Camila could also be talented when learning foreign languages.
Jupiter represents abundance, growth, fortune and generosity.
With Jupiter sitting in Virgo, Camila may find she struggles with limiting her hopes to what she sees as tangible evidence. Jupiter is in Detriment under Virgo and won't provide strong energy to the chart, however we will get into this later.
With Jupiter in Virgo, Mila may be smart and/or gifted. This is a great placement for mathematics, science, languages, medicine and law. Virgo is the sign of service and community and is rolled by the planet of intellect and communication. This indicates an analytical mind and great technical skills. If Camila chooses areas within service and community, she could have great growth potential.
This placement indicates that Mila will love learning, with an insatiable desire for further education. Being under Virgo, this placement also suggests that Camila could be a gifted teacher that can gain growth and abundance through her methodical and practical thinking habits.
Mila may need to work a bit harder than most for luck. In the long-run, Jupiter in Virgo is there to teach resilience and self-discipline. She will likely have great expectations for herself, however may fall into the trap of perfectionism, creating standards and expectations for herself that are unrealistic. This placement also indicates that Camila may struggle with anxiety, overthinking and trust issues and will need to nurture her mental health as she may have the tendency for pessimism and defeatism.
With Jupiter in the 9H, it is likely that Camila will have many opportunities to travel internationally. Jupiter is right at home in the 9H, this placement suggests that she will attract good fortune abroad or through foreign culture. Moving internationally may improve Mila's finances and she may have an affinity with foreign languages. If aspected to the Midheaven (MC), Mila could find herself working within foreign cultures or languages.
Being educated will aid Camila and her Jupiter placement. Gaining higher-education while Jupiter sits in the 9H can indicate success and growth in her financial situation should she focus on obtaining a high level of education.
The Moon has a North and South Node. The North Node (True Node) represents your mission for this life and what you need to achieve to move on to the next life.
In this life time, Camila needs to shine in her philosophical and spiritual pursuits.
Mila needs to cultivate her enthusiasm, courage and creativity into higher education and expanding her horizons in this life cycle. She needs to learn to exist as an individual and define her boundaries. This placement indicates Camila will love being around others and may enjoy working within a team, depending other placements and aspects.
She will have a natural ability to network and connect with like-minded individuals, however may have the tendency to pay too much attention to what others think about her. This is due to her South Node in Aquarius, feel comfort in finding approval from others which can create an anxious and unstable mental health. With the South Node in Aquarius, she maybe susceptible to peer pressure.
Though the North Node works well under Leo, Camila may find that she has to solve her problems on her own. The South Node in Aquarius indicates that Mila relied on her peers for help and was co-dependent in her past life - this time around, she needs to learn to do it herself and learn to find strength and confidence within herself as an individual.
Camila will need to learn to express herself more as she can often suppress her individuality. Find the strength and trust to rely on herself as this placement indicates experiencing betrayal or disappointment from her peers. This will not aid her Ascendant, as Scorpio Ascendant native already struggle to trust others and fears being seen as vulnerable.
Because of this, Mila may feel that she that isn't close with many people, despite the North Node indicating that she needs to form meaningful relationships with others and the Devine. With Leo over the North Node, Camila must express her enthusiasm and energy and be in tune with her emotions. With Aquarius over the South Node, in the past she felt detached and preferred logic over emotions, however she needs to learn to pay attention to and respect her emotions in order to grow.
With North Node in the 9H, it is highly likely that Camila will find work within foreign cultures and education. Careers within these areas will greatly benefit Mila, as it will allow her to express herself freely.
The twenty sixth degree is a Taurus degree.
This means that Mars has energies influenced by Leo/Sun (Placement), Taurus/Venus (degree) and Cancer/Moon (House Ruler).
As Mars falls on a Taurus degree, the will be an added level of stubbornness and indecisiveness to Camila's desire, passion, intimacy and anger.
See, the thing about fire and earth signs, is they don't give a shit, baby. Mars in Leo demands attention, it expects passion and romance and won't settle with a "No". Taurus, amplifies this.
Taurus, traditionally stubborn and unchangeable as it is a fixed sign, will cement these expectations. Camila's desires and passions will always be at the benefit of herself, and will only bend to others if it benefits her or, she is loyal to them. Mila will like bottle up things that deeply anger her and throw spits at minor issues, but the larger problems will explode quickly.
The zero degree is a critical degree and does not have a ruling sign overhead.
This means Jupiter has energies influenced by Virgo/Mercury (Placement) and Cancer/Moon (House Ruler).
This placement indicates new beginnings and horizons for the native. The Planet has just entered a new cycle under a different sign and is getting ready for its journey. There is a lot of energy here in Jupiter, which may aid Camila due to being in a detriment.
Being under Virgo indicates that Jupiter at 0° is here to change the world for the better. Virgo being acts of service and community, Camila will have a strong desire for helping people and may find success in medicine, therapy and volunteer work.
Under the 9H, Jupiter at 0° suggests that Mila will strive to help others on an international scale and could find growth and abundance in her funds should she decided to focus on higher education.
The twenty seventh degree is a Gemini degree.
This means that the North node has energies influenced by Leo/Sun (Placement), Gemini/Mercury (degree) and Cancer/Moon (House Ruler).
Applying degree influences on the North Node is difficult as it represents your current life path, however a Gemini degree makes this a little easier.
A North Node in Leo already suggests that Camila needs to step away from co-dependancy and into the limelight, becoming a successful, independent and known individual. Gemini, adds to this.
As mentioned in a previous part, Air fuels Fire.
A Gemini North Node signifies that a native should be pushing themselves to be public speakers and express the inexpressible. Having this in the ninth house is beneficial, as Camila has an international stage to perform on.
Mila needs to take lead in her community using her communication abilities, within high eduction, spirituality and foreign affairs. Leo, loves this energy, as it aids in becoming independently successful. Mercury will also play a huge role in this, especially if aspected to North Node. (It is, but it is not a major aspect)
The problem is, as the degree is at Gemini, theoretically the South Node would reside in Sagittarius. With Sagittarius South Node tendencies on top of her Aquarius South Node, Camila will likely prefer to follow her heart, as in a previous life, she was a natural born traveller. Mila will need to watch how she progresses with her independency and public life while travelling abroad, as she may resort to her comfort zone, and wander off travelling instead.
Jupiter in Retorgrade (Rx)
When a Planet is in retrograde, its energies are expressed inwardly, rather than outwardly.
With Jupiter in Retrograde, Camila will have unusual perspectives, beliefs systems and moral compass compared to the norm. She will prefer to learn from her own experiences and how she reacts to certain situations, rather than learning from others.
This also indicates that Mila won't be intrinsically lucky, or have faith that she is lucky. She will be a planner who will likely worry about her future or the consequences of her actions, and will need to learn that she deserves what others might feel naturally entitled to.
Depending on Jupiter's house placement, one will take a philosophical approach regarding matters of that house; seeking a deeper a truth. As Jupiter remains in it's preferred house, the ninth, this will only enhance Camila's approach to the
This is also the area of life where the native will retreat when the troubles of the world get to be too much. Jupiter is benevolent even when retrograde, allowing the individual to internalize positivity on a deeper level.
With Jupiter retrograde in the natal chart Camila will value kindness, generosity, compassion, reason, a purpose for existence, and a great awareness of their gifts. However, in the earlier years, they might find it harder to share their gifts with the world for reasons including lack of opportunities, self-confidence, and self-doubt.
Because Jupiter's detriment sign is Virgo/Gemini, we need to also have a look at where Mercury is placed, as this position could have a great affect on how Jupiter operates. This comes down to any aspects between Jupiter and Mercury, and what house Mercury is placed.
A determinant means that the planet has weakened energy, due to being under a sign that restricts or complicates its energies. It's not inherently bad to have a planet in detriment, it just means that the planet isn't putting a lot of energy into the chart and the native may struggle with certain characteristics from the planet due to the lack of energy.
In example, I have a 12H Libra Mars. Mars is in detriment under Libra, as Mars demands action, aggression and determination. Libra is the complete opposite, very indecisive and passive with a desire for eternal peace, rather than a desire or passion for something in particular. Because Mars is in detriment, I need to look at where my Venus is placed, as Venus is the ruler of Libra. My Venus is in Cancer in the 9H; if I focus on education and foreign affairs, this can benefit my Mars placement as my desires and passions will be directed to Venus. However, my Mars and Venus are also in a Square, which can bring many difficulties in communication between the two planets.
When Jupiter is in detriment, it is likely the native will not want to hold any power or may feel that they don't have what it takes to be powerful. Camila may struggle to express herself as Jupiter will feel restricted under methodical and direct Mercury. Mercury demands answers, intellect and adaptable communication, where as Jupiter wants to express itself freely and artistically. Mercury under Aries adds more pressure, even more so when we consider that Mercury resides in the fourth house.
Mercury being in the fourth house indicates that a lot of Mila’s growth and luck will likely occur at home, however it may also suggest that growth of home needs to occur. Camilla’s family might be known for their generosity or profound abundance of something peculiar, and with Jupiter under Virgo, the placement indicates that Mila might need to bring this into the international realm, or change something about the families beliefs and system to benefit the community.
The aspects between the two planets are critical here. If they have a harmonious aspects, Jupiter and Mercury will be able to work well with each other and allow Mila to express her ideas and schemes through effective communication and planning. If there is a harsh aspect, Jupiter and Mercury will not communicate well together and will create difficulties for Camila to discover growth in her communication, plans and ideas.
