There are two types of people in the world: those who prefer to be sad among others, and those who prefer to be sad alone.

When my mom asks me what I’m doing with my life
Honestly
Coming home to a family who doesn't trust you and judges your every action is depressing. 3 years of working my ass off to better myself, and they chose to lose their trust in me for going out and having a friend drive me home because I couldn't drive(something Ive never done). Having my car searched because I apparently look like I was high on some sort of drugs versus drunk, without my consent, and forcing me to chose between them or my involvement with campus orgs outside of class. I stay at work and on campus basically the whole day so I don't come home to face my family. The fact that as an adult I'm basically being grounded reinforces the idea that my family never ever trusted me, regardless of my improvements. It's honestly embarrassing and sad. With this being said, it's time for a change. I need to move out.
honestly the best feeling ever is realizing you’re not sad anymore over something you thought you would never get over

Take a shower, wash off the day. Drink a glass of water. Make the room dark. Lie down and close your eyes. Notice the silence. Notice your heart. Still beating. Still fighting. You made it, after all. You made it, another day. And you can make it one more. You’re doing just fine.

Don’t ever save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is the special occasion.

switch your mentality from “i’m broken and helpless” to “i’m growing and healing” and watch how fast your life changes, for the better.
…At night I dream that you and I are two plants that grew together, roots entwined
