Do I clench my fist?
Logurt pilled rn
I wonāt gatekeep my Logurt animatics chat
And another Logurt animation to add to the analysis I'll do for you, this time taking into consideration what you've told me in my previous analysis so I don't mess up their relationship like I did that time XD
Before I start with the analysis of the song and video though, I'll add a little addendum in here regarding what one of the members of the band that made the song (I'll believe in anything by Wolf Parade):
Spencer Krug said "For me, it was a scrappy little love song about two people willing to take a chance on their young relationship, even though theyād already screwed up a little bit and its chances of survival were slim. If the singer could just settle down, face the reality of their love, then maybe they could settle down together (āIf I could take the fire out from the wire / Iād share a lifeā¦ā) Maybe they could / should even go somewhere new, start fresh, where nobody knows them. Love is worth trying for, kind of thing." (There's more to the interview, I just attached the relevant part for this analysis)
Basically you picked the perfect song for this ship, so kudos for that (I also noticed that you used this same song in another animation of yours as well XD). Whatever, now he have the context that both this animation and song were used to depict a rocky relationship where both parts want to get together and improve, yet all of the mistakes that they did in the past makes it difficult to do so, yet they love they have for each other is big enough that they're both willing to change for the better, apologize for any mistakes done in the way there, and want to enter a healthy stable relationship.
Now finally it's time to analyse the animation as a whole.
"Give me your eyes, I need sunshine." This verse is said twice, and in both times someone different is saying it, first it's Logan who once upon seeing Kurt's smile immediatly relaxes and gains a shine in his eyes, something that usually indicates liveliness in someone; meanwhile the second time it's Kurt singing it to Logan, whose fussing all over him after (most likely) getting hit in the head and (probably) gaining a concussion, he's incredibly worried about him, distressed even, so of course he's all over his (boy)friend (idk if they're already in a relationship here or not) making sure that he's alright.
"Your blood, your bones," we continue the Leitmotif of the lyrics being split in half between the two of them, showing us Kurt being hurt and Logan's claws being blodied with the same colors over them as Kurt had them last scene, the implication being that while he had the concussion he lashed out and hurt Kurt in the progress. Maybe this is one of the big mistakes in their relationship that they're going to work through that Spencer Krug referenced, and it does feel like something that would make Logan incredibly insecure and nervous about starting a relationship with Kurt in the first place.
"Your voice, and your ghost." You're evil, so incredibly evil, I saw that frame that flashed after "your ghost", you are so incredibly evil for teasing a happy ending only to jumpscare us with that XD
"We've both been, very brave, walk around with bowed legs." I'm so thankful that the Leitmotif is still present throughout the animation of the screentime being split in time for the both of them, even if it's just backstory to show us how both of them have suffered throughout their whole life as flashbacks of their childhoods to summarise it, both moving forwards while hunched over due to the shame that they internalized throughout their younger years for things they can't control.
"Wait for the scary day," This time it's a simple frame, yet it shows us how both Logan and Kurt respond to the trauma that they were inflicted with in their childhood and throughout their lives, the former with agression to not be hurt again, rather hurting others before letting anyone damage him some more; while the latter responded by seeking religion and Catholicism, all of this with a smile on his face as he holds his hands in prayer with a rosary in hand (I know more religions use rosaries and they aren't exclusive to Catholisism, but we also know that Kurt is Catholic 100%), this showcasing that he wants to be kind and change the world for the better, standing up for injustices at the same time.
"We both pull the tricks out of our sleeves," Kurt is performing for a public and Logan is being supporting, this most likely something the former wants to do to improve people's opinion on Mutants around the world that don't revolve around fighting and saving lives; yet Logan manges to find someone to be angry with (most likely someone who was being agressive since I doubt he'd lash out at anyone without reason when things are calm), all while Kurt is nervous wanting to deescalate things behind him while still staying back since he noticed that Logan isn't actually being dangerous as of yet.
"I'll believe in anything, and you'll believe in anything." A very wholesome moment between the two of them, with everything they say between them clearly revealing what they both think of Logan, he himself sees himself as a broken person that can't improve due to all the harshness that he went through in his life and the defense mechanism that he chose to live with in the present and future, almost as if he gave up on getting better and only willing to stay as is; however in comes Kurt with the clutch to lift his spirits and use his own words against him, changing his mentality simply by believeing in him and noticing things that he didn't even realized he had in the first place, all of it once again being represented by the shine in Logan's eye returning to it. Also the lyrics being split in half just as they both appear in the animation and the things they say, that's a perfect use of the Leitmotif to reflect both their own thoughts as well as giving us finally a singer for the song, this time being Logan, which makes sense and adds a little extra deliciousness to the whole thing as there's now a tinge of idolitration that he has for Kurt, and that little frame that convinced me that you're evil (it was fucked up in the best way XD) turn said idolitration into something else which I shan't spoil for the people who didn't notice said frame in the first place, but will click on the instant y'all see it closely.
That realization that I had near the end also changes a little the meaning of the repetition of the first verse, now instead of Kurt wishing to see Logan to make sure he's okay, it's Logan wishing to see Kurt to ground himself in reality and not lose himself in the concussion.
Thanks once again for the animation and emotional damage, and let's hope that this time I interpreted the relationship between them correctly XD
YES you did it correctly and greatly, words cannot describe how happy I am that youāre willing to find the time of your day to analyze my art!!!
You might be the first to notice that small evil detail LOLLLLL
(Spoilers for the scene referenced >>)
If you recognize it, itās Logan grieving Kurt after he died standing in-front of the statue that honors him, he says āI keep waiting for the magic to bring you back⦠but it aināt happenin elfāā
This tells us that the non believer Logan, was willing to believe in magic if it brought his best friend back.
As for that final scene, that piece of dialogue is canon. Took place wayy earlier on in their friendship, Iād argue that hearing those words mightāve genuinely been the reason that assisted in Loganās redemption
How do I tell you guys I have so many of these doodles/animations that I just never post lmfao.
Before I begin with my analysis I gotta say, if you have more animations please keep them coming, I love analysing them and, though I don't do doodles analysis, it's still neat to see them when you drop them in :P
Now onto the analysis of the song itself, the song you picked is My moon my mad by Feist (which btw took me a while to find), specifically it uses the chorus of the song (or a remix most likely since it has some weird reverb that's not present in the original song), with the lyrics from the song, which according to Genius, has layered meanings that are both emotional and sexual in connotations (I'll leave the link there so that anyone interested can read the more detailed explination of possible meanings behind the chorus, I don't want to repeat it here).
Now I know that I haven't explained the possible meanings of the chorus, and I've left the link there as homework, but basically the song talks about the woman wanting her lover to be gentle with her and to not be aggressive both sexually and emotionally, and also wanting to know what their relationship actually is and hoping to bring it to light instead of hiding it. This is all with the woman singing asking her lover whose represented as the moon, which paints an interesting picture when paired up with the animation meme you did here.
First of all, Kurt is the Moon and Logan is the Sun, and the Moon and Sun imagery is usually tied to characters or beings that are always paired together and, depending on how someone interprets them could be either pursuing each other yet never being able to interact with the other except during Eclipses, or as enemies that want to defeat the other and take over, with the Eclipses becoming their battles; or even a third relationship that I haven't thought about. The important thing is that the imagery is usually saved up for pairs that can only interact a few times represented as Eclipses... And depending on the culture they are also anthrophormosized and given genders, in this ocassion Kurt being the man and Logan the woman.
Now, the little background that I know about Kurt and Logan and why they could've been repretesnte by those astral bodies.
Kurt is a mutant who was raised in a circus with a catholic background, who also looks like that so for a good while he couldn't be in the limelight without being procsecuted, and apparently when he teleports he moves through a hell dimension? I'm not clear on that, but the gist of it is that Kurt as Nightcrawler for a long while could only act in the night and in secrecy, though despite all of that he still wants to be a light to the world with his kindness and his attitude to being a good person and improving the lives of everyone around him.
Logan meanwhile is someone whose mutation can't be easily seen, and as such he can act in the light with little to no troubles, though that doesn't mean that he has no problems in his life considering all the stuff he has gone through, including the whole Adamantium thing, the Berserk moments he's had, all the wars and battles he has been involved with, so much amnessia, and a lot more things that I don't know about that are equally bad for him. All this to say that, despite being able to act in the limelight and stay in the light with no superficial problems, he's had such a rough long life that he's been burned by the sun too many times, and he could do well with a little nightlife in the shadows for a few years.
Now, how all of this relates to the song itself and the Moon/Sun symbolism present both in the video and lyrics themselves. One would think that Logan would be the one who's more agressive in the relationship between the two of them and Kurt would be the one that would want to be more in the light with his kind and gentle personality, however in here it seems like Kurt is the one that wants to keep the relationship a secret, maybe not realizing he's in one in the first place, and perhaps having some conflicting feelings that he accidentally throws at Logan? Whatever the case in here Logan wants to clear out the air between them, and after all he has gone through, I wouldn't be surprised if he's being extra careful to be gentle and comforting in the relationship to make up for past mistakes and avoid treading the same path that the abusers and villians in his life have walked through while holding a leash on him.
Another detail that's pertinent to this, Kurt is smiling with his fangs showing and mouth open, almost as if hungry or enjoying playing with something or someone before going for the throat; all the while Logan has his eyes closed and is looking downwards, trying to escape the reality he's currently in, and this paints a bad picture for their relationship, mainly making it seem like it's a toxic one on accounts of Kurt's actions on Logan. What has happened between them that what's normally expected for each of them has been trasnfered to the other in probably the worst way possible that created an abusive relationship.
All of the symbolism, video, song and what little backstory and stories I know about them paints a picture of a fractured relationship that they want to make work, yet one of them remains abusive over the other one with Logan rejecting the reality that he's being abused by someone he loves in the first place and Kurt either being ignorant or rejecting of this due to (probably) his catholic background. I don't know how they are in the comics, but what you've given us tells me that their story is far from a happy one... unless this is some sort of AU for this ship, or I interpreted way too much in the wrong direction :V
Regardless of everything, thanks for the animation meme, which despite being very short, still managed to cram in a lot of meaning thanks to the song and choice of symbolism.
First of all as an artist I LOVE to hear how much you adore to analyze my animations, even when they donāt really have much depth to them!! So once again thank you!!
But I will have to say you were cooking just great with your analysis til you got to the part about the nature of the relationship!! In my past animatics the only angst I was able to use is Loganās pure love and adoration for Kurt, so much that it makes him a wreck when Kurt isnāt around (in the few times Kurt dies in the comics)
Aside from that there really is nothing toxic about their relationship. Itās pure understanding with how similar their stories are and the parallels!!
āTake it easy on meā coming from Logan because his whole life he was met with violence, the second he receives genuine kindness and gentleness he feels the need to push it away. Because itās just that unfamiliar, but Kurt never gives up on Logan and instead treads lightly for his sake. The same can be told with the other way around. The moon and sun imagery is used on how they both see each-other, when it can be the other way around for bringing light into each otherās worlds!!
Their story IS happy lol, Iād hate to have been falsely advertising one of marvelās greatest dynamics ever, where a relationship can be portrayed beyond platonic or romantic. Theyāve been inseparable for nearly 60 years now lolll

Based on uncanny x force, Wolverine having to see his dead friend in the variant from the messed up world that made nightcrawler āevilā. Hence the evil version of Kurt
I finally have enough time to properly give you an analysis on your animations/animatics once again, yay :D
I'll be upfront, I barely know anythig about X-Men, all the info I know comes from the movies I saw (which are like 5-15 of them) and the cartoons I used to watch as a kid, so I can only analyse the video and song itself, with all the context I'll have coming from your comments under the video itself :V
First of all, Logan being his typical broody self until he hears Kurt's voice calling out for him, and with the song one would think it would be a happy moment, but the moment dread appeared on his face and the video gained a darker color I knew it would be anything but; that's one way to set up a contrast, and it also immideatly puts you on-guard with the lyrics that are to follow as well.
Which btw the following lyrics make it sound like Logan made a song for Kurt, but not the one that's present, and with the contrast that was put in place during the start of the song, it made me think that his brain was filled with noise while he was waiting for his reapearance. Yet after reading the description and seeing that his version of Kurt died, this takes yet another meaning that could go either of 2 ways, either Logan wrote Kurt an Euology for his funeral, which is something different from a song yet still showcases that that's the only thing that he could write for ahim after his death; or the other way where his head was filled with silence and he wrote a silent song after his death, just like 4'33'' by John Cage, which is a literal song where no instrument is played and no lyric is sung, the whole thing is pure silence only interrupted by the ambience itself, revealing that the other mutant was who added music in his life, or maybe that's the only way he knows to mourn him in the first place, it could be either or in this second interpretation.
And with just his appearance and a single sentence, Kurt from another universe breaks Logan apart and leaves him crying behind, languishing in his grief, yet at the same time that same line "I'd like to do the same for you" makes it seem like he'll say some mean things back at him, and the backshot can give you the same impression as well with how meancing it can look; yet if you take into consideration the contrasting video and lyrics that are present through the whole animation/animatic, you'll realize that Logan actually wants to do the opposite, say words that will comfort the other universe Kurt and hopefully make him happier, that scar on his face and that attitude he had to an unknown person clearly paints him as a cynnical mutant that doesn't care to present himself as a kind person the everyone else; maybe to give him some kindness that probably wasn't shown to him in the first place in his universe?
And that's all I have to say about this animation/animatic, which is a lot despite this being just 18 seconds long, which just reveals how much you can put inside a single thing with enough skill, and I have none of the background knowledge necessary to go even deeper with the analysis here, I know nothing about the relationships that Logan and Kurt have in the comics, thus not knowing why they are shipped in the first place.
Also there's a typo, "I'm not here to replace peplace the mane you once knew." XD
Thanks for the aimation/animatic, and I'll continue with the other animations/animatics you've posted now that I have the time... though I'll continue tomorrow, it's plenty late already for me XD
AAHHHH I really hoped no one would notice the typo lol⦠I forgot a singular line so the R turned into a P.
I was actually so surprised youāre willing to analyze my animatics if theyāre not generator Rex, makes me incredibly happy especially when you spent time on one my all time favorite dynamics ever š„¹!!!!
That reference to 4ā33ā John cage actually shocked me so much. Because youāre so right! It absolutely is Kurt who brought the melody to Loganās life!! Iām making it my new goal to introduce people to their dynamic because itās unbelievable how close they are in the comics. The parallels, the depth, the way theyāre genuinely soul mates and yet marvel has never portrayed them accurately outside of the comics.
Thank you once again!!!!

Look at the trees look at my face
Oh look at that, another animatic for me to analise that you've so gacirously has delivered upon us :D
Some lines are obvious so I won't say much there, "and I could take a hit for you", "and I could take away your drips for you" and "and I could take away the salt from your eyes" are literally things that Rex does in almost all episodes, fight, cure and comfort different EVOs, though not always to the same one.
"And take away what's been assaulting you" as Rex hugs Circe, considering how her whole thing is wanting to belong and be a part of something, this is perfect, he literally offer her his friendship and possible romance ahead in the show but doesn't force anything on her, he lets her come to him which I assume is what happened at the start of the scene there; removing at the same time a layer of solitude in her life.
"And I could give you my apologies, by handing over all the olive trees", yet again the Hong Kong gang is included in one of your animatics, this time as Rex asks for forgiveness and is willing to fight and hand over Quarry to both help them and let them have revenge if they so desire.
"And I could take away your shaky knees" as Noah is freaking out and Rex comforts him, this could be many different moments from the series, but Rex's forgiving and caring nature shine through, from what I think is happening, this seems like a few moments after Rex learns that Noah was hired by Providence to be his friend, or after he was turned into an EVO by Van Kleiss and he cured him; either way Noah did something bad to Rex and is freaking out in guilt, and Rex, despite being uncomfortable with the sitation, stil chooses to forgive/comfort Noah above all. You truly are a hero that needs to learn to be a little more selfsh.
"But I could give you all the olive trees" as Rex is curing One, which at that moment before he fully died is when he's speaking through him to the rest of the Numbers (2 through 6), revealing that it wasn't Rex who was asking for forgiveness here and trying to do everything in his powers to make peace with everyone, but One instead who means to say all of that.
"But look at the trees, look at my face, look at a place far from here" shows us a sequence revealing to us, in order, One, the island where he resides, and Six closing his eyes to later look at Rex. The first part is One because he's trying to redeem himself after all this time, and apologizes with everyone present; then comes the sialnd where he was kept in, representing everything that One was before he turned into and EVO, and finally Six looking at Rex, since he IS the one person that makes him want to improve and move on from his past. All of these are a small encapsulation of what that episode was all about, and that's amazing.
Thanks for doing another amazing animatic, now to wait for your future piece that I'll analyse again XD

Providence -Poor Manās Poison | a Generator Rex animatic!
Been meaning to make this for a while
Welp, enough time has passed and now I can finally give my analysis like I always have with you @pmkn2-0 , though from now on I'll start reblogging all of my analysis, so you can look forwards to that, and I'll see if I remember to turn all of the comments I've done in your previous animations into reblogs as well to make them more visible XD
To begin with, the first three verses that describe Providence perfectly, seeming like a fine as a military organization that brings the hope to the devastated world depicted with the sun shinning it's light on top of the HQ, yet the moment we go indoors, we see what they're truly doing, capturing and hurting the EVOs since they're not dedicated to curing them nor giving them ameanable lives, just catching, killing and using them to learn more about the Nanites.
Next comes White Knight, and how fitting it is that he watches everything through the screens as the line "Thirsty eyes" comes up, he literally wants to be able to go outside and enjoy the world as a part of it, but due to his condition as the only person with no Nanites in his system, he can't do that. Also he's the leader of a para-military organization that parades as the only people keeping the world from falling into an EVO apocalypse, of course he uses propaganda to appeal to the wider world, and as such of course he can recognize weakness from his screens, it's his job and duty after all.
After this Rex's eye is focused before the chorus comes in full swing, revealing him just as it begins, his face half hidden in the dark, both his eyes glowing blue due to the Nanites he controls, yet the shadows on his face gives them different vibes: the left one being menacing, threatening, ready to maul at the first opportunity, yet the right eye depicts him as a human, showing his anger yet also revealing himself in the light, not afraid of being seen and watching head on everything that's going on. And all of this is just with the first verse of the chorus and 2 single images XD
I love how "We've met your kind before" refers to both the common EVO and Providence Soldier, both of which are the most common and everyone has met before, at least in passing, yet the next line "Set fire to us all" showing Rex in his room (as seen with the bg poster) all angry at the situation tells us that the verse not only talks about the public and common person that get's caught in the middle of the fight, but also both of these "groups" that are being hurt in the insesant fight, with him being powerless to stop them all since he doesn't have the ability to cure everyone (yet, the Meta Nanite hasn't happened obviously). Also "Home Sweet Hole", nice way to showcase how Rex feels about his current living conditions XD
Finally the last verses of the Chorus, it's interesting how when it comes it's focused solely on the EVO that's being attacked, and later the bomb with a single minute left, as if that person turning into an EVO was something they chose for themselves, and they also placed the bomb, yet they want to be saved from their own actions. That's quite the contradiction considering that the bomb was placed by Providence, but it could be explained as the EVOs wanting to be saved from the damage that Self Harm brought by the bestialization that the EVO transformation brings, and the damages that external people can bring to them as well. Finally slight note, the first verse of this chorus "Oh sweet Providence", showing us the soldiers attacking the EVO, shows us that the people think that the organization will bring them all salvation, yet it's actually the opposite, they'll bring hell if left unchecked (Insert inspiration for a possible "Hell's coming with me" animation in the future).
"Feed the rich and kill the poor", that verse is self explinatory, it doesn't need anything else beyond the mention of the Consortium being in the Rich part of it :P
The following verse though, now that deserves a mention in itself. That is how propaganda works after all, with people not wanting to go out to see the situation for themselves, and only relying on a single source; metaphorically barricading themselves in their home and only listening to a single person to learn about what's happening, not knowing what's actually happening, and that's something that Hunter Cain takes advantage of to further his own interest. Interesting how easy it is to turn the narrative to your advantage if you're able to seize the opportunity.
Hong Kong gang making an appearance as the line "Beating hearts of the depraved" comes in, I'll admit I don't remember much about them, so I'm sure there's some extra meaning that I'm missing, but the lines makes a reference to the liveliness and emotions that those who are denominated "Depraved" by those around them, in this case for things out of their control (becoming EVOs), people need to remember that despite everything they're still human, we all are.
"We've turned their people into slaves", of course Quarry appears here with some control collars being put on random EVOs, that's something he would absolutely do (if he hasn't already, as I said, I don't remember all that much from Hong Kong), he's just like that after all.
Another interesting frame and line comes up now, "And we've given up before we've even tried". In here both sides are protesting, the EVOs and Hunter Cain's people, yet no one apparently has tried to reveal the truth to end things peacefully, they're all too angry to think things carefully and reach that conclusion; something that Cain is quite happy for, he might not have a mouth with the mask on, but the angle present clearly shows his eyes being curved upwards, revealing his gleefulness at everyone playing into his propaganda.
Next chorus and we're back to the episode "The Plague", this time "Weary soul" refering to both Rex and White Knight, they're both tired from everything that's happening around them and want to solve all the problems, they might've been going at it with different aproaches, but at the end of the day they're both kindred spirits; and the following verses reveal how at the end of the episode they've realized that they're both parallels of each other, earning the respect from the other with that final nod in the middle of the motes of light floating up the air that are the Nanites working to stop the infection after Rex cured Patient Zero.
And we come to another banger frame and verse, with Rex being framed as The Providence that guides everyone with his speech: "A person is a person! No matter how messed up they are!", he truly is living up to his Savior complex and role, wanting to save as many people as possible and seeing all of the EVOs, no matter how savage they might be, as people who deserve a chance to be cured and go back to their normal life; or if they don't want to or can't be cured, to continue living with as much respect as they can get, because they deserve it.
"Come save us from ourselves, from hell and consequence.", this is an action scene, so there's not much to say here, but just like the show, Quarry didn't want to be saved, he didn't want to stop his actions, as such he couldn't prevent his descent into hell, he suffered the consequences of his own actions.
Finally the bridge, the instrumental solo that the song has and the ending of the animation (or animatic? I never understood the difference). In here we're shown the many different ways where Rex has saved both people and EVOs from injustice and damage brought from the other side, or even from their own kind, eventually becoming a symbol himself and inspiring all of the EVOs into saving themselves and each other, giving everyone hope that things can get better for them; even Biowulf is there, even if he isn't chanting like everyone else XD
Finally the angst, we simply can't get out of having some of it in the show nor your animations (this is an exageration, hyperbole, I know you can go and do stuff with no emotional damage whatsoever XD), and here it is in the form of Ceasar staying in Providence despite the change in command, and he's clearly ashamed and sad for staying there, yet he stays regardless. At the start I thought that he had one of those Control Collars on him as well, but it was the collar of his uniform, so while he is being emotionally manipulated into staying there, he isn't actually forced into staying there, but he feels like he has to.
The sibling literally watch each other mournfully, almost as if they don't think they'll be able to meet again, and that makes Rex angry, of course he'd be, that's his brother; however before he can do anything he sees his family that has his back (I love Bobo's memeable face here XD), which then turns into a whole group as Noah and potentially all of the EVOs and Humans that he has saved come in to join him against Providence.
Amazingly done animation (anymatic? idk anymore XD), and also the choice for song is pefect XD
Providence in this case means "Divine guidance or care", which is the meaning that the organization wants to convey, they want to be seen as the ones who will path the way to a brighter future, yet as you continue in the video the meaning changes to the other one, "God conceived as the power sustaining and guiding human destiny", which is represented in Rex, the boy who has the power to cure EVOs and who gives hope to everyone around him, appointing himself, without realizing, as a Messiah. This also perfectly contrasts with Providence the organization at the end, when Black Knight takes over, Consortium, now that they're in power, sees themselves as the new God and want to mold the world to their own whims and wills.
BLESS YOU, your analysis never fails to make me smile and kick my feet in joy, youāve hit the nail on the head on pretty much everything, though Iāll have to point out that the bomb sequence comes from the episode āstring theoryā which introduces the moral conflict of having to sacrifice a city wide worth of innocent people to contain the ego infecting people, and basically turning them into zombies, so youāre half way correct about the situation there.
āSouls of the depravedā refers to the gang but specifically the evos in honk Kong knowing it became a āsafe havenā for sentient evos, being pushing into one place as if they donāt have a place among human society.
Quarry did infact turn people into slaves for entertainment through the use of collars.
āWeāve given up before we even triedā refers to the successful divide and conquer the consortium made, by turning evos against humans as if it hasnāt always been about people vs the government.
For future reference, animatic is a storyboard or a sketch and animation is the complete thing lol!
Once again I am ever so grateful for your analysis, reading this has been so much fun for me!!!! Totally worth the wait lol, (I might be considering hellās coming with me as the next animatic lol)
