'CAUSE THIS IS THRILLER. THRILLER NIGHT.

Rose snickers at that. “Just remember, no mentioning the gaming systems. You’ll ruin my rep.” Rose smirks at his excited exclamations.”I know what it means. I’m not going to correct you.” She waits as he makes the call, testing her doorknob to make sure it was lock. She nods and heads down the hall, gesturing for him to follow her. “Have you ever broken onto a roof before?”
"I won’t. I promise. I’LL TAKE THE SECRET TO MY GRAVE! DUN DUN DUNNNNN!" He stares when she says that and then hugs her around the middle. "If you weren’t too old for me I’d be in love." He follows her out the door and down the hall. "What? No. Nope. I have broken out of houses and orphanages before though. Does that count?"
Rose gives him a very serious pointed stare when he answers excitedly. “Good, I’ll hold you to it. Alex, no backing out.” She blinks when he suddenly hugs her around the waist and smirks again. She returns his hug and gives him a squeeze. She laughs lightly at his statement of love. “Good to know.” She leads him to a doorway at the end of the hall and holds the door open for him. “Well in that case, want to do the honors?” Looks over at him with an arched brow, letting him take the lead up the stairs to the roof if he so wanted.
"No backsies. Never." He grinned and then dashed out the door, grinning as he walks backwards. "ROSE IS THE BEST!" He declared but he tripped over his feet. "Oof!" Still grinning from the floor, he stands up and dusts himself off. "You didn't see that."
Moving out the door, he waggled his eyebrows at her and laughed. "I can do the honors! Just tell me what to do!"
"I’ll try!" There was no promises, but the lack of trying probably meant certain death and Alex wasn’t into death. Not at all.
Besides, this was about making sure he combated his fear of flying and of falling. All of it. He’d been working on it with his dad but it was still hard sometimes. Wrapping his arms around Nate, he clung to him.
Nate lifted him up easily, more than used to carrying heavier loads than his son. He had to admit though, if anyone took flying best, it was Alex which was actually surprising given his past and all. Compared to Bart and Jason though, who tried to not be as scared as they seemed, it was Alex that always felt less tense.
He shifted then. “Okay, you ready?” Although he already lifted off.
"Ready, Dad!" He declared. Drawing in a breath, he tried to ease up. Nate would never let him fall. He'd never hurt him. And if there was anyone he trusted with his life it was the guy who had found him what seemed like so long ago.
Arms tight he tried to look out this time, instead of keeping his cheek pressed to cold armour.
Science Teachers
"Depends on what their side of the story is. For all I know you could be making all this up. Dont worry so much, school’s not that important, you’ve got brains without it, you built a fucking catapult because you were bored, you’ll be fine no matter what.”
"I just hate people thinking I can’t do things or I’m stupid. Because I’m not! Not no street rat." He huffed.
"Watch it, theres nothing wrong with being a street rat." He gave Alex a small glare but it quickly dropped. "You’re just gonna have to accept that people are going to treat you differently your whole life, you’ve got a Stark for a father and your grandfather’s an idiotic billionaire who goes around a wrecked up city trying to save it. Everyone’s just jealous because you’ve got a bunch of options whether you do well at school or not. And they’re going to take cheap shots, people want to be in control Al, you cant let ‘em." That was when he smiled and pulled Alex closer. "Unless those people are your fathers in which case we’re always right."
"I didn't say there was. But I'm not one. I have three dads that are super cool." He frowned. "I've been a street rat before. But I'm not one anymore. And when they don't call me that they call me other stuff." He curled up closer to Jason again. "People are jealous of me? Course I don't let 'em. You taught me that." There's a laugh, "I know you're right. Unless it involves catapults. You can't build those if your life depended on it." And he poked out his tongue.

"Well you and Jayson and Nate… or one of you or two or someone needs to go talk to her cause I’m in super trouble and I might be suspended and I didn’t even do that! It would have been harmless foam! That disappears! FOAM THAT DISAPPEARS DADDY!" He hides his face in Bart’s chest.
"I know, I know. Calm down. I don’t think is a good Idea to send Jason so let’s agree that Nate should go. Nate’ll talk to her." He caressed Alex’s hair softly.
"... Why shouldn't we send Jayson? He's great with people." Alex looked up at Bart, confused. "Don't you think so?"

"… Let’s try Al. Can you say Al?" Alex asked, poking Thomas’ nose.
He blinked at the poke and frowned. “Ah…. Ah… ” He couldn’t pronounce the ‘L’.
"... Babies." He sighs and leans back, "How did Scott even deal with me?"

Bart listened closely then stood up, picked Alex, and sat back down with the boy on his lap. “First of all, stop, you’re making me dizzy. Second, don’t call your teacher an idiot, she may be one but she’s still older than you and you owe her respect. Now, let’s see, you can help the other kids, that’s okay, about correcting her, I don’t know, ask Nate, and about your experiences, don’t do it at school, it’s dangerous and you were supposed to be doing what teacher asked you to do… I’ll just… We’ll find a way for you to do chemical stuff somewhere else. Okay?” He poked Alex’s nose and smiled.
"She is one. I don’t owe her respect. She never respected me! And she shouldn’t be a teacher! And I was trying to make her classes better! Get the kids to like science and see how cool it is and the class be more interesting and not WRONG all the time. They’re gonna learn everything wrong." He frowned, "I KNOW I can do that stuff other places but that’s not the point. The point is her classes suck and I was trying to make them better. And then she blamed me when she messed up."
He sighed and wrapped his arms tightly around him, pulling Alex’s head to his chest. “Calm down sweetie. Look, life’s not always fair, things doesn’t always go as we want. We got be strong and be a good boy and wait a little bit, next year you’ll have a new teacher and won’t have to deal with her anymore.”
