Get why Jonsa endgame isnt a hill you wanna die on but looking at that list you have to wonder if George knew what he was doing or if it was a happy coincidence. He's very meticulous but the book are huge. Did he write it with his (possibly nonjonsa) endgame in mind & not realize the other option it presented? Some of it is very particular, others would be a good play on things, some things could have a different purpose but taken together I cant see a better purpose for it than Jonsa endgame.
Okay so the reason I say it’s not a hill I’ll die on is bc genuinely I’ve had like…4 endgame OTPs in my entire life. Im not kidding. I ship doomed ships lmao. And slash. And fanon crack ships. So, canon and I….we’re cool but not friends.
I also don’t wanna promise it’s gonna happen because I don’t wanna get anyone’s hopes up.
However
I think there is a TON of foreshadowing in the books/shows that is really…odd? If they’re not gonna deliver. I think jonsa is very possible. I’m talking to Eva right now about it. 😂
I’ll just list show stuff even though I think GRRM has planted huge seeds for jonsa. (I also think jonsa is his type of ship to a T tbh). But I have a foggy memory so just show stuff.
The way jonsa scenes are filmed? Yeah kit and Sophie have great chemistry but they’re def not secretly in love IRL so the reason it comes off as a romantic chemistry is because of how it’s filmed. The long lingering looks. The soft lighting. The heavy breaths.
The Ned/cat parallels. I mean yeah they’re ruling WF together so the parallels would be there…but uh maybe don’t highlight it if they’re platonic family members
Sansa being Jon’s trigger. Hell Sansa scene in ep 1 is one of the only times in like 7 episodes we’ve seen Jon act like a human. He will kill for her but he’ll also offer forgiveness for her.
Sansa being jealous of Dani. The way this whole thing has been set up like a love triangle. Dani even called her out on it. And they’re filmed in a triangle.
I’ll even say the san.rion and Theo.nsa scenes to me? Almost seem like reminding audiences of a Sansa romance and then dismissing it? But why? To highlight she’s gonna end up alone? NO.
A just woman and an honorable man.
