The pilot of The Nanny is kinda wild bc what do you mean by “Has anyone told you how handsome you look this evening?” “Maxwell, you’re such a flirt” between Maxwell and CC and how casual they were about it, his hands on her waist, the compliments, like… you know?

Yeah, it’s just the pilot, and obviously some dynamics change later (especially to maintain her character), but she’s portrayed as SO delusional for six seasons, and when you watch this first episode it’s like, “Was she really THAT delusional?” 😵‍💫 I feel like there’s a lot to unpack about this friendship, not romantically, but more like emotional proximity and maybe even emotional disappointment? 🧐🧐 Remember how he treated her in that episode where she quits
