So I’ve been on some dating apps lately and I’ve been on Hinge and my fucking gosh the dudes that “like” me and the dudes that Hinge suggests I’ll have a great first date with are not AT ALL what I am attracted to. Like what about my very liberal Black ass would make a dude think that I would be interested in someone who in their profile says that they’re thankful for “Friends, Family and Guns” and another dude wearing a Blue Lives Matter shirt in his profile. Both White dudes. I like all colors of the male rainbow but my Black ass doesn’t want to be dating either of those types of White dudes especially not in the current political climate I don’t feel like having to explain why football players are kneeling or why I as a Black Woman in America didn’t vote for a 🥕.
