Sated
The sky is in twilight and the trees are bare.
It’s just me, the fading sky turning into pitch darkness, and empty fields.
The night welcomes me as an old friend and the day parts completely until tomorrow.
How I love seeing the trees naked, their skeletons laid out for all to see during the winter months.Â
The falling leaves dance on the streets around me and the grass is no longer green.Â
Fallen immature trees on the grounds stretching towards me as if lending me its fallen hand;Â what a sight.
As I look on into the darkened night I seek beauty wherever my eyes could see.
The rain falls and gives nourishment to the wildlife around me and also baths me; It falls in the cracks and crevices of my skin and drenches my very soul.
On the outside I’m a mess but in the inside I’m finally sated and rejuvenated.
