a girl like you has been taught to remain unobtainable, as if falling in love was some sort of taboo. but a love like you is unbelievable, unforgettable, as if falling in love must hold some kind of truth.

there's the calm before the storm, and then there's you; a stillness that sets the chaos in motion.

take this as a reminder to remain gentle through it all. a heart of gold will never tarnish under the elements.

it happens like this: suddenly you can't recollect a time when you weren't basking in their love. you've forgotten what it feels like to be alone, and be content with that fact. and suddenly, when your world comes crashing down and the carpet has been ripped out from under you, you wonder why you poured as much of yourself into them as you did. you wonder how to live with a halved heart and a head of nothing. you wonder how you can.

and despite everything, you must be willing to remain open. even hollow hearts deserve to be filled. because the truth is, the universe will teach you both how to love and who to love if you allow it to. remain eager for love. remain hopeful.

how does forgiveness flow from you like honey, while i've been dealing with a well that has long run dry?

revival // a.i.

you have to learn how to run away from the things that are not meant for you. even if you have to walk, even if you have to crawl.

what a privilege it must be to fall in love with a writer, to be able to be hugged, and kissed, and held through body parts and language alike.

im letting you go like a balloon into the sky, in the hopes that you will find your own piece of heaven.

angel // a.i.

regret can have a hold on someone like no other. the kind of feeling that suffocates you from the inside out. regret will thrive in the deepest parts of your body, claiming a place they can call home in the darkest parts of your heart. it won't ask for your permission to stay, and it sure as hell won't bother to leave. regret will chain you to your actions, and bury you in your suffering. it will lock your heart up, and throw away the key. we cannot conquer regret for what it is, cannot undo the wrong, cannot relive the past, but if you fill your being with nothing but love, you will smother the regret right out of it.

healing // a.i.

eyes like yours are too young to be as wild as they are, but this is the kind of trait that will make a person feel alive like no other.
