Can I offer you a gummy worm Tangela in these trying times?
State terrorism charges have been dropped against Luigi Mangione. He is still on trial for the lesser charge of 2nd-degree murder.

WONDERFUL to hear on 1,221 days left
reminder: keep up with saying he IS NOT THE UHC SHOOTER, they haven't proven that he is, keep insisting he and the UHC shooter are separate entities.
Important reminder- thank you
"Racism" against palm colored folk: Notice how it's the 👶🏻🧒🏻👧🏻 people defending this professional [blank] be racist against minorites
Racism against minorities: slurs in any online space, possibility of physical threat/harm for going to specific areas of a country, laws dictating your criminal status
@staff our identities aren’t nsfw and we will not stand for them to be treated as such
Something I dont think is talked about often enough is how being impoverished creates people who are disabled/ chronically ill who will never be able to safely accommodate themselves.
If you cant afford to go to the doctor, you might just learn to deal with the effects of something instead of being treated. Delaying treatment can prolong issues or even exacerbate them in the long term. If people delay treatment long enough for it to escalate into something life threatening or where it requires EMS, then they go into medical debt.
I hope someone understands the point im trying to make
I feel too dumb to fully express what im thinking and feeling
OP is right, to expand on their thoughts it’s the boot theory but applied to health (in OP’s case chronic illness specifically)
Boot theory meaning that being poor costs extra money. A good pair of say 200$ boots might last a few years if well cared for, whereas a 60$ pair may only last 6 months despite good care (partly because of quality and partly because most poor folk can’t afford multiple pairs of shoes)
The same goes broadly for health. When you’re poor, you put off the doctors office because you can’t afford it, paying more in the short term for things like OTC pain meds and other short term fixes, and then you STILL pay more at the end because often times you only go to a doctor when it’s an emergency which usually involves the emergency room (which is the most expensive medical care)
For well off folks they just pay for the preventative and diagnostic care up front, lessening the risk they have to go to the ER for something and pay that money too. This divide is even wider for chronically ill folks because their ailments aren’t one and done fixes, they require sometimes constant care and work.
Lastly this is why you’ll see arguments that preventative and diagnostic care actually *saves* money in a health care system. It’s inevitably more expensive to treat a bunch of emergencies than to catch things early and help people avoid long term complications of various ailments.
Thank you to @frankieuniverse for understanding the thoughts i was trying to portray. I felt a little helpless at the end there trying to get my words to make sense

Thinking about those people who want to fuck Lego Bionicles
Listen buddy you can't just say things like this and not share with the class
okay!
Creampie makes the dreampie or however that saying goes
sorry for being weird and evasive. i was raised to believe that having wants and needs was a moral failing
Insulin is a perfect counter to the "without a profit motive no one will invent anything" bullshit.
The inventors of insulin wanted it to be free and avaliable to everyone who needs it. The inventors invented it without a profit motive.
Then, capitalists inserted themselves as middle men in order to extract profit from it. It's now ridiculously expensive and people need it to live.
People are dying. The tool to save them exists. Capitalists hijack the lifesaving tool and hold it for ransom. Because of that, people die.
Capitalism is pure evil. Capitalists are murderers.
"His life mattered. He has a family."
This is being said about Brian Thompson.
I'll make you a deal. Get a sick person who was denied medical care to write a letter to the CEO of their insurance disputing the denial by saying "My life matters. I have a family."
See if the CEO then decides to pay for the medical care.
If they do, I'll have sympathy for Brian Thompson.
But they've shown countless times that they don't. Millions of people begged for their lives and were ignored so CEOs can increase their profits. If our lives mean nothing to them, then their lives mean nothing to me.
To be frank, I still would not care. One saved life would not discount all of the millions of lives lost due to being unable to have access to Healthcare or the lives destroyed having to keep people alive who could otherwise be taken care of. I wonder what the rate of divorce is for people who become diagnosed with something like cancer is.
Luigi is innocent
You guys know that right? It's important to me that you know that
This right here.
The most annoying thing to me is that so much of the populace is accepting him as guilty, regardless of their support of the actions of the UHC shooter. He didn't do it. The insurance conglomerates are lobbying with the media and judiciary system to make things appear as such but that is the furthest thing from the truth.
the guy that actually killed Brian Thompson watching Luigi's perp walk and trial
I do not believe Luigi Mangione is the UHC shooter. I believe he is being made to be a martyr. Deny, Depose, Defend.
