Tech Grandma Moment?

I’ve noticed something kind of tragically hilarious.

most trans girls on Tumblr are either running horny blogs, quietly battling clinical depression, or both. Like, the sacred rite of passage seems to be crying in a hoodie that smells like girl sweat and regret… only to pause mid-sob, scroll past some gorgeously drawn or written smut, and casually reblog it with a tag like “me n my gf (manifesting)” before going right back to spiraling.

It’s honestly an entire mood board: chipped nail polish, thighs half-shaved, heart in shambles—but the blog? Impeccably curated with soft porn, cursed memes, and big gay energy.

We're not okay, but at least we’re hot, gay, and terminally online about it. Tumblr’s our little church where we worship by thirsting, crying, and healing in the weirdest, most beautiful ways. Bless this chaotic little girlhood. Amen.

On the 16th of May, twenty three years ago, Final Fantasy XI: Online was released in Japan for the PlayStation 2.

Final Fantasy XI Online is set in the fantasy world of Vana’diel, where players create characters from various races and jobs to explore, battle, and complete quests together. It was the first MMORPG to support cross-platform play between PlayStation 2, PC, and later Xbox 360. The game features rich storylines, cooperative gameplay, and numerous expansions. Though console support ended in 2016, the PC version remains active with a loyal player base and ongoing updates.

The starting cities in FFXI are so funny to me because you have San d'Oria, which is entirely populated by elves (🤢), Bastok, a dry, poverty-stricken wasteland whose only exports are rocks and racism, and Windurst, a beautiful forest nation filled with catgirls and little guys who have an abundance of food and virtually no reliance on their neighbors. So obviously you pick Windurst and have a gay old time progressing the missions until you reach the point where the game goes "oh yeah by the way the reason why everything north of Sarutabaruta is an uninhabitable desert more sparse than Gustaberg is cause the Tarutaru invented Nukes and refused to stop using them" and you're just sort of expected to move on from that fact.
